I'm not sure.

Starting Grant and following with Cowan is great. Major heat to no heat lol

They predict Moore to come back mid April

I think Fontenot with a max of 2x thru the order is a good option. We really just need our Sunday guy to get us 12-15 outs, whereas we need Casan and Schmidt to get us 15 at an absolute minimum for us to be successful.
With his velocity, if he isn’t walking guys, I would like to see if he could get up to 4-5 innings. Maybe not, but if he gets in a rhythm, maybe let him extend and see what he can handle.

And the HR he gave up would’ve been a deep fly ball out in most other parks.

Anyone who throws strikes is good by me. Make them hit it. Just not to 2nd base or first base.

I like Fontenot for 3-4 and Cowan for 3-5. Then Guidry and/or Sheerin to close. Especially if Sheerin only pitched one inning on Friday.
Evans and Schmidt going 13 innings is big. Can use Sheerin for 1-2 on Friday and maybe someone like Garcia for 2-3 and then Williams for 2-3.
This weekend worked out well for us pitching wise. Couple other guys stepped up. Lachenmeyer for one. (Even though he hit his batter today). I believe Rizy did okay this weekend too.
We need Moore back but need him healthy.
Guidry, Sheerin, Cowan, Fontenot, Garcia, Williams, Rizy are prob the only guys we will see except for a spot guy like Lachenmeyer here and there. Not sure what to think of Noot right now.

Is next weekend against Ole Miss Cooper Moore’s third week to miss?
Didn’t Jay say he’d miss 2-3 weeks? Was just curious because I’m hoping we can see Moore back after the Ole Miss series at least

So it’s an amputation situation?

Rizy was the worst pitcher of the weekend for us. He started with a nice K, but then lost his control and gave up a couple of walks before being pulled. He just has no consistency.
It would be nice if someone like Paz or Noot could step up into his spot if he can’t do better. Hell, Benge and Primeaux looked better in their limited recent innings than Rizy has. The velo doesn’t matter if he can’t consistently find the zone.

no, Cowan should be.
Fontenot in leverage situations as long as he is pitching like this
I like Cowan as reliever coming in after a hard thrower. He is pretty good as a long reliever. He is a tough transition for hitters when used like this.

Am I wrong? He's a terrible catcher.

This would be huge. There’s still time for these guys to gain jay’s confidence
