You realize that this was the old tennis stadium, and it was just sitting there, right?
It was in near perfect shape, just needed to rip up the tennis courts and pour sand, redo the interior.
It's prolly one of the best re-purposing of an old facility that I've ever seen.

I believe that it utilizes the old tennis facility. It was reporpused and didn’t take a great deal of $$$ to convert. Does TAF help with the cost?
Also, women’s volleyball (especially beach) is one of the fastest growing varsity and club sports at the college level. Why not compete with the best?

And its certainly paying off with the incoming talent in the future for this program. LSU did a good job with this renovation.
All these recent renovations in LSU sports should be a great tool for recruiting purposes moving forward.

I know we all joke about the women and their looks but beach volleyball is pretty fun to watch when watching the athletes at the highest level.
During the summer olympics I always do enjoy watching the beach volleyball matches, they get pretty intense.
