It was. Is that rhetorical? I fail to see its pertanence, if so.
Then again we may have beat them by 20.
Who knows.

As a side note to this thread...
I would laugh my arse off at the following..
1). jj is reinstated and gets on the field as a RB for a play or two. Lee tosses to Jefferson who runs to the right but throws to the left side line. To whom???? J lee for a TD.
or
2). J lee has a bad game during which he throws 2 picks. The very folks who want to bury JJ will yelling at their TV's for CLM to put him in.

REALLY?????? What a dipshit you are. IF and WHEN you learn about the game of FOOTBALL. We can talk.
Right now you have proven NOTHING.

If JJ comes back and Miles puts him in as a starter.
No way.
All the stuff JL has been through, going to hell and back in '08, all the fans booing him, people telling him he's no good, go to a different school, we don't want you here, etc.... (in '08)
Then we get to present day and he's playing great football. The team is rallying around him.
No way in hell Les would slap him in the face and just give JJ the starting position back, like some of you are claiming.
That would be one of the biggest a-hole moves ever. Something Bob Stoops would do.
Being reinstated on the team =/= playing time. Certainly not starting. Play on a down when you'd need a running qb. That's it.

I'm sure I am being captain obvious here, but if JJ does get reinstated on the team I am pretty sure it will go down like this:
JJ will resume practicing with the team and will share first and second string reps with Lee. If our next opponent is unranked Les will start the QB who is having the best results with the first string in practice. If our next opponent is ranked then Lee will start and will play until he deserves to be pulled or we have a large enough lead to rotate them.
I think Les is a fair coach and will give JJ an opportunity to regain his starting spot but at the same time he will not just give it back to him like nothing ever happened. I know for sure that he will put the team first and his decisions will be based on what he feels gives us the best chance to continue to win!
GEAUX TIGERS!

Hate to say it, but if we lost to WV, most are going to want JJ to play...

Like he has always allowed a starting qb the opportunity after losing the starting spot due to injury?
Oh, wait...

The question is, how long will the GJ hear evidence, and then how long until we get their result?
It's been said many times, " I can get a GJ to indict a ham sandwich"
I just don't know why they GJ is hearing evidence if they don't plan on trying to convict them. If he's going on eye witnesses that were drinking I think he should get thrown out of office.

Because if the GJ decides that the evidence does not Merit a Trial, the BRPD is off the hook.
Conversely if it does...the BRPD is still off the hook and the DA too for that matter.

This is good new for JJ. The fact that the Grand Jury is hearing the case so quickly means the DA does not believe there is a case.
I think he reduces the charges or drops them totally and that allows the victim to sue JJ and JJ.
Believe me, in Louisiana, the DA owns the Grand Jury and he uses it to get what he wants....and politically it gives the DA cover to reduce or drop the charges....if he had the goods on JJ, he would wait until after the season and stretch it out....the way I see this...

I may not be right
On that...we agree.
No one is "infallible", but the Miles tour of duty at LSU is the best LSU has ever had for winning, the highest percentage of Top 10 ranking, the most 11 win seasons, and the best OOC record in our history.
All done at a time the SEC is the strongest it has ever been.
He may not be perfect, but I'll back his decisions over any I see posted here and that includes what he does with JJ if he returns.
Nothing I have seen says JJ is returning, but if he does I would assume to would be in a back up role considering his time away from practice.

Lets hope that if JJ gets back he doesnt divide the locker room cause he is not playing.
If he is reinstated I hope he says all the right things. Things like team first and what ever i can do to help this team win....et et..

There is cross examination in a Grand Jury. The witness sits in a row of chairs before the grand jury and the prosecuting attorney sits behind the witness with the witness' back to the prosecutors. The witness is allowed no counsel in the room but may confer by going outside the room with his attorney. Everyone is put under oath. The prosecutors can cross the witness and the jurors may ask any question they desire. When they have heard all of the witnesses or when the jury has heard enough, the foreman can call for a vote of true or no tru bill and that is it.
The prosecutor can suggest an outcome but the jury can do what it wants....period! Many times a jury has asked a prosecutor to leave the room and does whatever it wants....(called a rogue jury).
This system was designed to protect innocent victims from malicious prosecution and political interference.
The grand jury transcripts are secret but witnesses are allowed to say what went on inside the room. If a witness lies he can be charged with perjury.....
The system is mostly used to shield the DA from criticism as he can defer to the Grand Jury.
