let jj play he loses half the team. he doesnt play jj he loses the other half of the team.
I really doubt it's that serious.

He was indicted. That means there will be a trial, that means no practice.

Tell me you're not serious.

quote:All it means is the guy he kicked in the head didn't suffer serious injury enough to raise the charge to second degree. The GJ determined evidence existed to charge JJ with a crime. He should NOT be allowed back until this is adjudicated.
But we've been told by 'experts' for weeks now that a kick in the head isn't simple battery...which would mean, given that logic, that the GJ determined JJ struck someone, but not necessarily kicked 'a defenseless guy in the head'. Big difference.

JJ is still formally charged with battery. He should remain suspended even though it's a misdemeanor.
Exactly. Don't know what people are getting excited about. Johns sounds good to go, but JJ is going to have to go through an actual trial now and there's no way this gets wrapped up in 2 months

For those that are not up on their legal ease like me

No true bill A finding by a grand jury that there is no probable cause to decide that a crime has been committed.

It looks like they had enough evidence to show he was involved in a significant manner. That alone should keep him off the team. This is not what I want representing LSU nor the figure young boys look up to.

You do realize that the GJ just decides if there is enough evidence to take it to trial right? This does not convict him of anything.
Thank God it seems like someone on here gets it!

can't he plead guilty to the lesser charge, pay a fine, and maybe even eventually have this expunged or something? or am I off base?

thats the thing we dont know whats going on in the locker room. to this point it looks like everything is ok. but that was when things were up in the air with jj. now we are coming to another crucial time. only time will tell.
Posted on 9/28/11 at 6:15 pm to CamdenTiger
Isn't there also a process as a student charged with a crime that JJ would have to go through to get back to classes? I thought Les mentioned that at one time. What is the process that LSU puts a student through after an arrest? I would think a felony would or should get you tossed from the school?
Anyone have some knowledge on this subject?

You'd be surprised how many misdeamenors charges are on this team. Some, like our b/u QB have a few. Move on.
Some want Mett to start, sexual battery. Bunch of fricking hypocrites, and dare i say racists?

I still don't think that Jefferson sees the field unless Lee gets hurt. Maybe even not then. Les is an extremely loyal person. And, loyal people tend to not like it when people they trust disappoint them. Regardless of where this goes, Jefferson has disappointed Miles.
I think the disappointment, more than anything else, is really going to hurt Jefferson in Miles' eyes.
I would be totally surprised if Les didn't play him immediately. Not starting QB, put he'll see the field if he rejoins the team.

I don't see this going to trial
