at all the idiots thinking that reinstating this bum back is a good thing. This team is fricked. All he'll do is destroy this team's success and progression. We got too good of a thing going.
Didn't you read the quote where the team cheered when JJ came at the tail end of practice? If Miiles didn't do the right thing, which is let him back on the team, there would truly have been a mutiny with the current players.

I'm sure the team likes winning just fine.

regardless of how this falls out don't forget that JJ was suppose to be the leader of this team, and he did not display the maturity to lead his team mates to not break curfew which led to the incident
It will be interesting to see how it falls out- but he has lost his starting job from a self inflicted decision. He should have to work his way back.
look at how rusty Shep was in just one game and he has been practicing but not game playing JJ will be more out of sync as he has not practiced not played in games

Did the grand jury drop all charges? No..he must have done what he is accused of. The injuries sustained by the individual were not serious enough to go forward with the felony charges that is why the charges were reduced to a misdemeanor.
I can't get past this post. GJ indictment doesn't mean a defendant did a fricking thing. If you think otherwise, you are ignorant or a dumbass . . . probably both.
From what I am hearing there is serious doubt as to whether Jefferson can even be convicted of simple battery. In fact, I'll bet the store that he walks away with no conviction and no guilty plea.
Cops fricked up.

But what about Lee's frail ego?

If JJ is a real team player, he will
1. Apologize to the team for his behavior and lack of leadership
2. Acknowledge to the team that JL is the starter and he supports that decision
3. He will submit to the coaches decision and play whatever role they ask him to
4. Ask the team to unify and focus on their goals and not be distracted by the unfortunate circumstances that have resulted as a result of his poor choices

I so agree with this.
And for the posters bashing Mett, Mark Richt said himself that he should NOT have released/kicked Mett off. He said that he was under pressure from boosters along with other team things that weren't going well and he jumped the gun.
Everyone needs to stop with the hate. Les and company will handle this correctly.

Great news, but there were three others that got hurt so I'm expecting more charges to be filed. Consensus on the team have been waiting for this day.

Right, so people aren't going to go the Florida game if Miles announces the JJ will play at some point in the game?
if les miles gives JJ significant snaps over lee's, yes.
Has there been anyone more wrong about the situation than TheDoc?
Jefferson will be reinstated. A misdemeanor charge does not keep a kid suspended for 4+ games.
And, no matter what happens, attendence isn't going anywhere as long as LSU is winning.

Simple battery?! And there was a grand jury for this?
So we've gone from Jefferson allegedly bludgeoning this guy with his foot, to maybe just pushing someone? Wow. What a fricking circus.

I just don't see CLM injecting JJ into the game any time soon
JJ has a long ways to go to prove to CLM that he is repentant for his poor choices and poor example of leadership
For a second forget the criminal charges- A coach must set an example to his team that poor behavior by the most important leader on the team has strong consequences

For those of you who do not actually know Jordan Jefferson, use your words wisely. I was there during the "altercation" outside Shady's, and Jordan was the only football player who tried stopping the fight going on between two of his teammates (I won't give their names). I remember thinking in that moment how proud I was to see our quarterback acting on his role as a leader, trying to set an example. I have not given a witness's statement basically because I have my on legal issues for myself to deal with, along with the reality that the majority of people, excluding a few including Jordan, were drunk. I remember the night clearly, but had been drinking, and after learning my lesson via DWI, I know not to trust my judgement nor anyone else that has been drinking. In this case, there was no legitimate information that would allow for justice to be served. I did not see Jordan in the big huddle crowding Lowery on the ground, but there were sooo many randoms literally jumping in, and so I cannot say that I am sure. If he did actually carry out these allegations, then I believe that he had motive for defense of his teammates, because as a human being, our first instinct in those situations is to protect, and all the bar fights that go unheard of in BR, should get you haters thinking about using your words next time. Congratulations Andrew Lowery for seriously jeopardizing a talented and humble LSU quarterback in his senior year, when all the pressure that most of us never have to experience, was set aside momentarily to possibly defend his effort. For those of you that would consider your TD-account to be your voice for media, think about it as if your biological name somehow replaced your TD-username, and every single post that you had ever written, good or bad, would be out there in the open to be criticized, ridiculed, and degraded by every single member of TD... Would you wish you could take back some of the posts? Probably some and some not, but the point is that, you don't have your name out there for everyone to see, nor do you have a face for everyone to follow, and Jordan has a name and face that we ALL know. If you have any morals, outside the legal system, what would you have done in that moment? What were your fundamental thoughts when acting in a moment, would you be thinking in terms of your role as the starting senior LSU QB, or would you think instinctively in which you were raised a human being, to protect yourself and your family with loyalty regardless of some risks that your actions might bring on. Jordan deserves the support of his team, whether he gets to play or not, he belongs in the #9 jersey at the heart of tiger stadium with support that each of us would want from our family if we were faced with such a case. So before you judge the names, consider the guy and how he has no control over his story, a story that the country is tampering with.

So this it, after all this bullshite over the last month, after all the different stories, after the shoes, all they could get was a misdemeanor? They could have spent this time on an actual case like one of the 50 murders that take place in Baton Rouge dailey, but no they use a shitload of resources on a simple battery charge.frick the police.

curfew, HA! if curfew was such a serious rule, then there would be no tradition of the team going out the night before their last practice of two-a-days. The curfew is not something to take seriously in this.
