Let me clarify since a bunch of people here don't understand the legal system. The GJ decision to day does not in anyway mean that there is significant evidence against JJ. It only means that when the defense presented their case there is enough reason to believe that it is possible that he did what has been alleged.

And for those that don't know, there is no way in hell JJ will accept the lesser charge and plead guilty. Why? Because he didn't get in a fight! JJ was picked because someone thought they were going to get paid!

Now even without inside information it is pretty obvious that there is no way in hell JJ gets convicted. The evidence is in his favor... because he is innocent. Keep in mind that the evidence that the general public knows is not the full story.

I secretly was hoping that this would go to jail because this is how it plays out:
1. No trial. People think JJ is guilty and got away with something.
2. Trial. All the information comes out and people will see that JJ was railroaded by Lowery.

Did the grand jury drop all charges? No..he must have done what he is accused of. The injuries sustained by the individual were not serious enough to go forward with the felony charges that is why the charges were reduced to a misdemeanor.

the only idiot would be les miles for punishing lee by giving snaps to jefferson. that my friend, would be next to criminal.

Like he did with Rp and Flynn? Or Lee and Mett? I would like to hear some logic on ur reasoning.

Paid by who? If I was going to try and get paid, I would say Claiborn or #7. Not someone with no future. I know his auntie dont have it

Against better SEC defenses such as AL, FL ect. Having a running QB will help.

fricking myth. We have running backs for that. JJ is not a running QB anyways. He is a QB who has the ability to move if he needs too, but often times he does so at the peril of his accuracy and decision making.

clueless post is clueless.

all the grand jury said today basically is that there is enough evidence to make a decision at trial. if there is even a shred of possibility that he could be guilty a grand jury will indict.

He had his fricking chance and he ruined it. When he get's back he should be the #2(even though Mett is better) and only see the field to run the option and garbage time.

Lee is the man. Not JJ

I agree with all of this.

Same here. Being reinstated =/= playing time.

quote: He was indicted. That means there will be a trial BINGO. I find it hard to believe that JJ is going to be the only one charged in this whole mess. I wasn't there. I didn't see what happened. But I find it hard to believe that 4 people went to the hospital and JJ is the only one who is going to face trial. My gut says he's taking the fall for some other people on the team who were also involved. Unglesby hinted as much in the radio interview where he said this all about getting Jordan to cough up the name(s) of the other players involved in the fight.

It doesn't matter, I think the precedence of misdemeanor has been set, so they can charge half the team for all I care. and misdemeanor trial will not keep him off the team or from playing

I have a bad feeling JJ (or his family) gets out in the media and starts spouting off about how he fully expects the QB position to be a contested one and he's ready to compete for the starting job...or something along those lines.
