Graham Mertz and Anthony Richardson wore #15 after one of tGoats

Tim Tebow. Hated the guy in college. But arguably one of the greatest college players of all time. Heisman, 2 nattys. If any number at any place should be out use, it should be his. Yet AR and Mertz both wore it, not even defensive players.
Who TF does JD think he is?
Tebows jersey is still in use but you are too good for yours not to be? GTF

Its a great comparative and Moscona pointed that out on Locked On this morning. Honestly JD was the last guy I would have expected this from, but apparently he was just a hired gun who only thinks about his "brand" above all else. Mommy is definitely an issue, but this falls on his head. Extremely dissapointing.

Is Tebow still having that sort of sentiment if he played in the NIL era?

I hate Alabama but Mark Ingram was the first Heisman winner for Alabama. Did he say anything when Najee Harris wore the same number?

Probably not. He missed out on way more money than Jayden did though.

Without knowing what the conversations were regarding the number, you can’t compare anything.

So what in your opinion would the conversation be like and between whom that would justify a cease & desist and demanding LSU scrub the universe of his likeness and return LSU's heisman copy over a number?

A head coach does not have the right in perpetuity to determine a players number being off limits. Kelly made that deal with him, not LSU. Kelly is gone and not in charge anymore, so those deals are null and void.
Daniels was amazing while here, but his numbers were not as good as Burrows anyway, especially considering the teams Burrow had to face in his Heisman year.
By final rankings versus top 15 teams:
Daniel’s (2023) was 1-3 with the only win vs Mizzou.
Burrow (2019) was 5-0 vs the top 13 including 3-0 vs top 5.
In the end, one is a big game winner and the other isn’t. I get the defense was better in 2019, but it was still mediocre by LSU standards up to that point.
