While I get what you are saying the reality is he let himself get in that situation. Alleva cannot be replaced quick enough. I cannot for the life of me understand why we hired him to begin with.

Last night when Herman indicated he was going to "see what Texas would offer", Alleva should have said, "Fine, let us know". Then, after talking with Orgeron, he should have sent a press release that LSU was broadening their coaching search this week and would interview several candidates. This morning, start setting up interviews with coaches, and at the end of the week, make a decision. That is how a professional athletic department would handle it. Of course, over the last 8 weeks, he should have had names other than Jimbo and Herman lined up to talk with at season's end.
