Loudest game against an unranked opponent in a very long time. Can't even think of an unranked team that came close. Maybe A&M 2019? It was such a blowout that it's hard to measure it against this one, but the crowd to open that one sure was a lot of fun.
Ranked, unranked, SEC, Day, night...it doesnt matter.
There needs to be three things to make that stadium at or close to it's best and the ranking of the opponent and the kickoff time are not two of them.
1 - The game has to mean something. AKA, there has to be something on the line. LSU can't be fighting to get to .500. Something important needs to hang in the outcome
2 - There has to be a general concern by LSU fans, student, media (national and local) that thhe game can, will and should be close and there is a genuince concern LSU could might lose that game
3 - The game has to be close in the 2nd half
You get those three things, it doesn't matter who you're playing, what time of the day or what they are ranked and that stadium is at it's (or close to) it's better versions of itself

my six year-old was starting to lose steam and then when all the wristbands flashed together in the fourth quarter it blew his mind
They waited until the 4th quarter?

Lagway looked like uncle rico out there
Uncle Rico was 4x all state and single handedly ruined JaMarcus Russel's confidence after he threw it a quarter mile while JaMarcus was bragging about 75 yards from knees. Rico threw it across the Atchafalya River at Simmesport.

The PA system is a total joke. STILL!
Where did you sit? I sat in lower east side for LA Tech game and I thought it sounded great.

East side about thirty rows up and just south of the 50
Regardless what you or anybody says the PA system sucks and that’s why nobody claps when they finally get through with their oration about who’s standing over in the NW corner.
Nobody knows what they fricking said because the PA system sucks.
And the new announcer does not have an announcer’s voice - at all.

Absolutely! Drove in from Jacksonville with my son Friday and he had some buddies come from other parts of the country.
One of his boys is a current Penn State student, and he was blown away by the entire day. The tailgating, the atmosphere outside the stadium, and finally, the electricity in the stadium.
I wanted to blow them out because they’re the gators, but on the other hand, I was happy that the stadium was electric the entire time.

The atmosphere was great. My only complaint is they have gone overboard with the piped in music, making the band damn near obsolete.
This would be my only gripe as well. It never stopped. This was my first game back since the Florida game in ‘23. I can’t recall, but was the sound system upgraded since then? Seems like I may have read about that. I don’t ever remember it being as loud as it is now.
I’m not even a prude in terms of the music. I do like some of that rap music, like Set It Off. Some of it though absolutely sucked.

tiger stadium can't truly be tiger stadium with a garbage defense

I even heard AC/DC at one point. It’s just too much…the band rarely gets to play

It’s just so unoriginal. Wish we would’ve stayed the course with bringing Mike and stay away from the fad of the day.

nothing gets TS rocking like a playmaking defense.
They made this comment on the post game radio show. I had not really thought about it until they said it. Then it hit me, the crowd for the first time since 2019 had a defense that was capable of making stops. This will make the crowd a factor.

Yep, and I heard Metallica very briefly as well at one point. Your point is a good one though. Way too much piped in music and not enough of the band.

I know this will probably get hate but the light show bull shite is gimmicky. Cannot stand it. Besides that the noise and environment were great. Just can’t help but feel we’ve lost some of the authenticity of the environment with all the LED shite.
Arguably the best sports environment on the planet and we still get sold on ‘having to keep up with the Jones’s’
“You know that Oregon is flicking their lights on and off all the time. You better keep up or your fans and players will convert. How about we talk about state of the art light flickers…”
