Who…Bryce Neal??? LMAO
This is his 2nd year at LSU.
This position is by far his most high profile position and as of now, he may be a very slight improvement over Dobson.
That said, he will be at a constant disadvantage with Torino’s desire for half the lineup be left handed slappers.

We hear this every year. “She can’t be fired! She’s got a great class coming in!” And she continually underachieves with these “great classes.”
But be that as it may. I don’t think she’ll be fired. If she is, it will happen Monday. If nothing happens Monday, it’s not happening at all.

Do not agree with all you knee jerkers. Review her year. She does not deserve to be fired. Most of y'all don't even know who is coming back next year. We will be in the national championship talk all year.
No we won’t. We ended up in back half of SEC again this year. The SEC keeps getting better and LSU keeps being a “potential” team.
LSU settled when they hired her after Murphy took the job and then changed his mind.
If she’s staying, she needs to be forced to hire a pitching coach and stay out of development and pitch calling.

yup. it is the same old tired shite excuses for beth every got damn season since 2017. i mean shite even when we had those stud hitters i mentioned on last page and even when we had carly and allie we STILL could not even get into the WCWS final series best outta 3! HFS!
program is beyond stale and past time for change. I just think woody give zero fricks.
beth being a nice person and a good pitching mind does not mean she is great with in game pitching decisions as we saw this weekend and in years past. she is paid half a mill to win titles. its time to move on.

These are not reasons to keep her.
By your own admission, she’s pretty good, recruits pretty good, has us “in the conversation” but also that we were top 10 most of the year, have top 10 talent (allegedly), and for the second time in three seasons, we get eliminated on our home field by a directional school from our own state that spends probably a fraction of the funds on softball we spend, with less talent than we have.
40+ wins is nothing if you go 2 and cue in your own regional.
I know you were trying to layout a case for retaining Torina, but you actually made the case for terminating her.
“Next year” Torina strikes again.

i am a season ticket holder and have spent a shite ton of money on LSU softball camps for my daughters over the past 10 years and will be emailing scott today demanding change. I'd suggest fans doing the same. doesn't hurt to try even if it falls on deaf ears

and we all stated this all off season with TEXAS and OU she will fall even further and here we are!

It’s his 1st yr as hitting coach and in his 1st yr developed one of the best offenses in LSU history and top 4 in the SEC, when have we been top 4 before? He also had calls from South Carolina, Arkansas , Texas A&M, Ole Miss. If you are in the travel ball world which you are not you would know. Slight advantage? Dude look at stats this yr vs last it’s not close and all that despite only having 4-5 SEC type players.

I'd be fine with making him the next HC and seeing how he would do. I'm sure he helped recruit a lot of those girls so maybe some would stay committed and then he can bring in an expensive pitching coach to let them run that since he will handle hitting.

Does someone come offer Edwards some money?
Posted on 5/18/25 at 10:28 am to lesthemadhatter
Not sure if he would be a great head coach or not , he has never done that to my knowledge. I do know he is highly regarded in the hitting world around college softball. I think if the contract is cheap enough for only 3 yrs or so it might be worth the risk

The softball program is off the tracks. Something or some things are very wrong. We see only the surface and the surface is the W-L record. But the HC for whatever her reasons has failed the program and we don't know all those reasons. Her career should be in jeopardy because the program is in peril. What good is it that she can coerce a #1 class season after season only to have them compete quite uninspired and unmotivated on the diamond? SB Ticket prices doubled this season. How long before the stands are empty? LSU is in financial trouble. The poorest state in the nation now finds itself having to compete financially with rich schools and not on the courts or fields. How long can football subsidize SB when our NIL bank account is already low?

Agree. Also time for a change in Track and Field. We don’t even seem to compete in that sport consistently in a while.

bullshite! You are just the typical complainer that thinks we should win nattys every few years. I played and coached at a small time level. It is not as easy as the typical fan makes it seem. Other teams are good, too. Are you better in life than she is? What is your win percentage?

Yep. You are the expert. I imagine that in your mind, you believe you could win 40 games a year. From your recliner.
Bunch of cry babies up in here that probably never played a game since 4th grade. The entitlement of the typical fan.
