At least good ole Les wasn't willing to do things that would have left his successor with a bowl ban and scholarship reductions.

ESPN radio reporting Ole Miss turned over a tape of Lewis' mother asking for money and telling them what Hail St8 was willing to pay for him.

I hope they both burn each other to the ground. The conference needs those two to return to their historical punching bag status. now let's go get an assistant with deep Mississippi ties

Uhh...wanna bet LSU will be mentioned. Don't think Frank got in a bidding war with the handler though.

Frank was there recruiting him all the way to the final dead period, they put in a lot of time down the stretch recruiting him. Actually thought LSU was getting him until...

eta: also remember he was originally committed to Bama

This won't go over well for Ole Miss' future recruiting if they make it known they secretly record meetings with prospective recruits. Bold move, but leave it to Ole Miss to continue to botch how they deal with the NCAA

Doesn't mean I that Moo State actually offered anything to him. His mom may have been trying to leverage more from Ole Miss.

Nothing came of that though. Even Oregon got a love tap for that.

Anytime NCAA came snooping, LSU had its arms open. And anything was delt with quickly and reasonable punishments were self imposed.

Guess shows how good Les did with how down the state was and not get caught bringing in big fish from all over. And still racked up good classes when scholarships got limited and number of EEs were limited.

Think about finishing second for some top recruits. Did LSU just get out bid? And if so, you could bring down a bunch of top programs around the country.

We all knew State paid big for Lewis. The fact that Ole Miss is exposing it is a good thing, IMO.

I agree with the poster who said he hoped they burn each other to the ground.

How do we know it was Leo's mom on the tape. It could have been Leigh Anne Tuohy and she found Leo wandering around Brookhaven

That's a real POS, sorry arse, pathetic, pussy, douche, dickhead, bitch move by Ole Miss.

So, you blatantly disregarded things and clearly didn't give a frick and now you want to bring others down with you. That's really sorry arse shite right there.

Take y'alls lick like a man. Y'all made y'alls bed, now lay in it. Don't try and bring others down, even if it is your biggest enemy.

This just shows how much of a low life Hugh Freeze and co. really are. Him and whoever else that suggested/went along with this deserves an arse whopping.

I guess they realize the hammer is about to drop on them and are trying to do anything they can to soften the blow. Probably trying to cut some kind of deal with the NCAA.

ETA - I also agree with that poster who said he hopes they burn each other to the ground. That'd be great. Just think it's BS how Miss is handling it.
