A group of us, who lives in NOLA, are looking for a fun spot to watch the game. We all are season ticket holders and usually make the away games so we really haven’t been home to watch it. Any suggestions besides Bayou Beer Garden or Cooter Browns? Any watch parties out there?

Anywhere but Rusty Nail.

ETA: Finn McCool's, Mid-City Yacht Club, Tchoup Yard, Tracey's, Ale on Oak, Bruno's, The Bulldog (Mid-City location is preferable since the Uptown location can be a bit crowded due to the limited space), Vic's Kangaroo Bar, J&J's Sports Lounge, Markey's Bar

Why don’t y’all just grill and booze at the house? Send out some invites and have a party.

What's wrong with those places?

I don't know of any "watch parties". Every bar in the city will have the game on, just depends what kind of place you want.
Finn Mccools, Bulldog Mid City, The District, and yes the Rusty Nail if Bama is not playing at the same time.

What about some of the Breweries?

Mid city yacht club. Tchoup yard.

I also imagine some of the breweries would be a good spot but have never been for games.

I feel like this question is asked EVERY week.

Furthermore, the response it always the same... find a fricking bar and sit down.

Or go to Bayou Beer Garden, it's legit.

I’ve posted this before, but MCYC caters to Big 10. Its OSU and PSU’s New Orleans alumni chapter HQ.
They will not cater to LSU fans if there’s a OSU or PSU game on. Just a heads up.

I’ll be a Finns FWIW.

I watched the Auburn game over there, and, generally speaking, you're right. As soon as the LSU-Auburn game ended, we got the hell out of there. It was packed with OSU fans.

I went to Markey's last week and J&J's for the Miami game and both were solid & had the audio on.

Tried to watch the LSU/SC game, once, and they wouldn’t put the audio on or on one of the bigger TVs, because the OSU game was on.
Like the place every other day, but you can’t trust that place if there’s a Big 10 game on.

Yeah I'm kind of sick of BBG myself. Last season I got there at like 11am the day of the Ole Miss game & stayed all day watching college football. It was fun but hasn't been the same since.

Yea, it wasn’t my idea. My girl’s bff parents own the joint or some shite, so I’m just along for the ride.

Seen a bunch of soccer there too, so I’m interested to see the crowd for an LSU game.

I’ll probably be the weirdo yelling, while everyone else stares at me. Oh well. Geaux Tigers.

I watched the 2010 Auburn game there. As I stumbled out I looked to the heavens and swore I would never set foot in that building again. 8 years later and I've kept my word.

Brewhan pretty much nailed it. We don't have a ton of great options outside of this and the others listed in this thread, especially if you don't want to do CB or Bayou Beer Garden. Flamingo a Go Go in the CBD might be an option with its courtyard, but I've never been there for a game.

Mannings is an option if OM isn't having a big game. The local Ole Miss chapter actually stopped having their watch parties there because they were pissed Mannings was catering to LSU and other fans. They moved it for a few years to Bayou Burger on Magazine, but since that's closed, I don't know where they have them now.

The owner of MCYC is very pro LSU and went to LSU, but cajun77 is right - the local Ohio State chapter has their watch parties there, so both the indoor and outdoor courtyard/boathouse area will be catered to OSU fans.
