Safford walking the ball back to AJ reminds me of Henry Rowengartner not wanting to throw the ball after he falls and his arm goes back to normal.

If they kept Labas in the game at Ole Miss (at that time of the year) for 130 pitches in a one-run game, then I don't understand the logic of not letting him open the 8th here. The run support tonight was not there against Ole Miss...meaning less stressful pitches today. Weather is fair. Keep him and pull him after any walk or hit allowed.
