At least the color changing helmet unis had a story it was trying to acknowledge. The all white is a nice change occasionally. The gold jersey i didnt mind. I own it too. The old good helmet we wore against Arky was just weird. Looked like Tulsa

That's correct, and they only became "cursed" in the mid-1960s. The notion of a "curse" reached a crescendo during the 6 year streak of losing seasons 1989-1994, lowlighted by Curley Hallman's 9-16 record in the purples.

maybe outside of power 4 games

Why can't they be worn for power 4 games, or for one SEC game/season? Are they still "cursed"?

Why not forget the novelty fads and go with our branded traditional g/w/g unis? Our trademark look.

Since when is g/p/g a "novelty fad"? It's been an LSU football uniform for about 100 years. It's tradition.

Idk about cursed other than we sucked in the time period we wore gpg by default. It's just traditional to have gwg from the "bring back the magic" era forward, which was a return to tradition from I think the '50s type era. So that's what we do. GWG with ab exception for the first home nonconference game plus like a once a year fun alternate.

STAHP already.
It’s a freakin’ uniform.

Some of you guys spend WAY too much time sweating this stuff.

I wanna win, and knock the snot out of people while doing it. Couldn’t give a shizzle what color our unis are.

In 1972 with bert Jones at QB Florida made us wear purple on the road and we missed 8 field goals and tied the reptiles 3-3 as I recall. We rarely won when we wore purple.
In the 60’s we also wore a purple helmet with purple jerseys. Some guys wore the purple helmets in the all star games (east-west, etc.) just to be different.
But we had two traditions under Cholly Mac- to run under the goal posts and to wear white jerseys.

The game was played in a torrential rainstorm throughout. Why they kept attempting FGs given the playing conditions is anyone's guess.

The weather, not the uniforms, was the reason the score ended up that way.

Florida was notorious for putting us in purples when we played there. The October 2, 1965 game there was played in unrelenting sun, and heat. The Gators had their new hydration formula, fittingly called "Gatorade". LSU had no such relief that afternoon. That was the only game that you can make the case for the uniforms resulting in a loss.
