Now my "two cents" from a 58 year old, couldn't afford to attend LSU but have been a serious fan for 50 years (that I can recall) with four seats in the SW SEZ.

I'll never give up my 4 season tickets, but it is a burden to attend the BS games (like Furman). But I attend all that I can. I'm weird, perhaps, but I feel that I need to be there to support the Tigers, and because of the camaraderie of the fans around me.

And, attending out of town games gives me a great thrill and a great feeling for supporting the Tigers. I feel that my attending the games in Tiger Stadium give me more "authority" or "spirit" or something to carry to Seattle, or Phoenix, or Tuscaloosa. It's kinda like bringing Louisiana on the road.

That's too bad. You've forgotten what it feels like and gotten comfortable with that. Yep; no parking hassles, no over-priced water/bad food, no heat/rain...in return you get your recliner, A/C, and a good picture on your flat screen. Stay there. You won't be missed.

Haven't gotten comfortable. Just have other priorities in my life right now.
I am happy you can attend every game. I can not so that right now. And doubt I will ever again.

Well you go to the A&M game and be sure to scream as loud as you can when A&M has the ball so you can help stop JM.

You're damn right I'll be there celebrating with all my friends in the stands cheering the Tigers on. Maybe Aleva can get a Skype hookup and we can pipe your belching and farting in your recliner into the stadium PA system during the big plays when the defense is asking for the crowd to get up and Roar.

To be sure, there are other things in all our lives. Nobody can dictate what's more important to somebody else. At the tender age of 68, I can appreciate that more than most. We're cool.

I take it you do not have kids or you are not a good husband/father. Or maybe you are past all of that which makes it easier for you to go to the games. I am just taking a leave of absence from going to the games. Although I seriously doubt I will go to every game in a season ever again.

Honestly, find a better excuse to give up season tickets. You could sell the Bama game tickets and recoup almost all intial cost of the tickets. Then pick and choose games you wanted to attend. GameDay atmosphere is what its all about, you dont get that sitting on ur arse at home.

One thing i never complain about is paying high prices for any LSU food/merchandise I know all my money is supporting my State School that I love.

Without question. Risher made a good point post game. With practically every game on t.v. save duds like Furman, being in the stadium live is no longer the privalege it once was.

Folks were willing to put up with all the inconveniences when access to the live action was not as readily available.

When's the last time LSU/UF or any LSU home SEC game wasn't on TV?

It isn't all
About the cost, although I do think the prices are high. And you are right if I want to go to a game I will buy the tickets off the streets. But when you have other priorities at home that overrides going to the games. I am not bashing people that go to the game. I am bashing the people that complain that not everyone goes to the game. The game isn't the place to be as it once was for me. I watch every game religiously but I don't have to take 6 hrs before and 3 hrs afterwards to do so.

Oh well, there'll be someone else to take your place. After the tickets sale for an outrageous price.

If you are dropping your support of LSU Football do it like a man, not the the 6'4" 240lbs bitch you're acting like on here.

Crowd noise helps, it's not everything.
Atmosphere makes Tiger Stadium unique. And that 100% includes the gameday atmosphere ourside the stadium too.
Stop telling yourself it doesn't so you feel better.

It's your decision, be happy with it. Don't try to convince us that it's ok to bail on LSU. Typical shitty LSU fan.

C'mon man. I am not dropping my support of LSU Football. Just not going to every game. I understand the crowd creates an atmosphere that can be advantageous to LSU playing better. But it isn't everything, hence road teams win games from time to time.

I am trying to explain why I think the crowd attendance is down. And I think part of that is the way the games are broadcasted. Thats all.

I go to the games and my mother still lives on the lakes so I always have a short walk without all the hassle. I will say, my 60" Samsung is a sight to behold for a espn broadcast. Couple that with a dvr and I think that is one of the main reasons.

And the economy. A lot of people don't have the money they used to for the whole experience.
