We first have to see if he’s ready to play football again. He’s basically taken two years off.

That's the key from his POV too, I would guess.

Guy obviously is physically talented, he looks to have a great burst. Or did before his injury. But I assume he wants to play in the NFL, and he needs to secure a position there first. As of now, he doesn't have one, other than we know he can rush the passer (thus defense).

Yes, and the center of that world is Boulder. CO.

He was a very good rb in high school. He needs to be a box safety.

Is there ever a world where Harold Perkins would exceed, much less play up to, the promise of his freshman season?

Hey, we've tried him at a few positions already, so if he "clicks" no. But if he doesn't, let's just keep moving him until he finds his magic place. Maybe QB or TE?

He has 1100 yards rushing (119.gm) and 18TDs plus another 300 receiving and 3TDs his senior year in HS.

He was the 6A all state selection as a utility player.

Still shouldn't play RB here, but he has some experience.

Yes. He’d play running back in a meaningless bowl game.

I would argue he should've been runningback from the start.

Perfect size, elite speed, averaged 17 yards PER CARRY his senior year. It's too late now, but I worry he's never gonna find a home in the NFL playing defense.

Has Perkins played offense before? Seems like he wouldn't be very good at it.

Are you serious?

Lotta casuals showing themselves ITT

Perkins was also a standout RB in high school. Has a rushing TD vs Wisconsin. Would love to see him tote the rock a little.

Not like the whole defense thing is working out great. Let him rush the passer on 3rd downs and give him 5-10 carries/g.. we are short a RB or 2 if Holly doesn't come back anyway

If he could be solid in ball protection why the hell not?

Because this isn’t something you develop the ability to do in garbage time of Practice. It takes significant effort and time and reps.
