Dudes passionate and his players seem to love him.

Only 43 years old and he is familiar with the program having coached here.

Plus he looks like he's from Golden Meadow.

Its Godwin.

He'd be an outstanding hire.

Worked in various roles in programs under Corbin, Mainieri, and Bianco. An excellent hitting coach and recruiter. And he and Ed Orgeron can bare knuckle box at a fundraiser and I'd pay $1,000 a ticket.

He would be my top pick as well. I think he has done really well at a school that isn't known for baseball.

Godwin looks like he’s a Coach O in training.

Or Barry Alvarez. Can’t believe he’s only 43

I agree he'd be an excellent hire, but ECU actually has a pretty damn strong baseball program and history relative to their position in the world of collegiate athletics.

Underlined years Godwin is responsible for, which is also impressive.

While ECU isn’t a powerhouse, the program has had baseball success prior to Godwin going there.

26 tourney appearances prior to his hiring.

I really want Godwin as well and I have from the start. He’s coached at great programs as an assistant, has multiple years of sustaining his upward trajectory, is oddly the same age as Vitello considering Vitello looks and acts 23, and just carries himself like an elite baseball coach. I think he’s by far the best hire in the country right now and I’d be completely ecstatic if we announce him

People keep acting like he took over a dumpster fire which is why he gets a pass for never getting to Omaha. I’m so confused

They are certainly not a traditional power, but when I think East Carolina I think baseball.

They’ve always had a decent/good baseball program

Familiarity with the program should have no bearing on who gets hired

In his defense, his teams have won 3 regionals then been sent on the road to buzz saws for the supers.

2019: Louisville #7 National seed 51 wins

2016: Texas Tech #5 National seed (19-5 conf record)
