Holy crap you dumbass...It's ALOT about defense...especially when you're averaging over 10 runs per game in the CWS. Why do you want to give up defense to gain more offense?...or 'try' to gain offense, because Hanover looked pretty bad against the UT pitchers also. There's also a thing called chemistry. If not..then Nola would have been taken out a long time ago.

Durr. If it ain't broke then don't fix it. Durrrrr.

Except what they don't realize is that is so broke that it's not even funny.

What I can't wait for is for Helenihi to get a single tomorrow at his first at bat and this thread get's brought back to the 1st page only to have Helenihi strike out the next 4 times.

the gap isnt big enough to justify it at this point

we WERE averaging 10 runs...thats why you manage the game based on what happens.

Haha please. If you want to argue for helenihi use the win streak or the defense argument. Although Hanover was fine defensively for almost the whole year. But the game-tying run? I could've scored that. He sat there and took four pitches that weren't even close and then ran 270ft at a decent clip.

did u miss where they said he is hitting .263 against LHP tonight?

That's incredible...probably 3 or 4 ks from being .200...but when we were discussing it, I think it was closer to .200.

As far as his obp...I was probably exagerating a bit...but his only hope for a long time was to leave the bat on his shoulder and hope for a walk.

That's what I don't get...if Hanover had gone 3 for 3 tonight off the bench, I could understand this debate, but he didn't look good at the plate either.

yes, yes it was...Hanover had become a greater defensive liability than Helenihi is an offensive liability.

really? seriously?

So why isnt PM playing Hanover? Because he missed a signal or 2 in that one game? Or PM just doesnt understand things as well as you geniuses?
