Spot on.

Which is his whole schtick--worship the biggest stars and egos of the game, and tell the little people how dumb they are for not doing likewise.

You don't have to.....all we're doing is reading between the lines. Most of your posts all read the same way.
I don't talk bad about the school or players. and most of my posts are on the OT and have nothing to do with LSU. k thx

Oh, so we're talking about baseball season, too? People call you out on your original comment and you have to crawfish a little bit. Good work. Save face a little bit.
I'm not crawfishing Les. The OP said it was the first article that wasn't anti-LSU. In fact, it's not. He has quite a few. He's done fluff pieces on Miles, several players, etc.

The majority of his articles are meant to "shock" and irk LSU fans. The stuff he says about Miles isn't really directed at Miles, it's meant for overly sensitive LSU fans who start threads on message boards whining about him writing negative articles.

What LSU fans need to do is forget about this offense because it’s never going to be a very good one. The passing game, which is currently No. 115 in the nation out of 120 major colleges, with a measly 120 yards, is never going to be dynamic.

This is actually a reflection on GARY CROWTON!!!! We've gotten worse each year and Jefferson is in his third year. That means he is not being taught and developed. With a good coach you will see improvements in things like the passing game, i.e. Garcia at South Carolina. With a bad coach, well, you see Crowton's reversal of development style too akin to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

The Tigers intercepted five passes Saturday and returned them for 106 yards, which was nine yards more than Jefferson’s passing yards. So what? Jefferson led LSU on six scoring drives. None were long. But so what? They scored. LSU dominated. LSU had only one turnover. For the 10th time in his career, Jefferson started a game and did not throw an interception. LSU kept its defense in good position

Amen but Guilbeau is still a tool

GG had to bring this up lol...

True, LSU’s competition has not been the greatest, and a bad LSU team could be 3-0 now. The 1998 Tigers, for example, started 3-0 with a win at Auburn and reached No. 6 in the polls, then finished 4-7.

It was many years ago, but this LSU team looks remarkably like Alabama’s 1992 team that had no quarterback, not much of a passing game, a strong running game and one of the best defenses in SEC history that scored just about every game.

After Saturday night, this is exactly what came to mind.

This is one statement from Guilbeau's article that I disagree with totally. When Deangelo Peterson returns to the lineup the passing game will improve. With DeAngelo in the game, it will help the WR's to have an opportunity for more one on one coverages. DeAngelo will be the escape valve that JJ needs.DeAngelo is the missing link to the passing game.

That's one of the most depressing articles I've read in a long time. He can't be serious. He's trying to make a point, but I can't figure out what it is.

LSU has what looks like a great defense. It has a great kick returner and a great kicker. This team can steal wins when its offense does very little if it doesn't turn it over. It was many years ago, but this LSU team looks remarkably like Alabama’s 1992 team that had no quarterback, not much of a passing game, a strong running game and one of the best defenses in SEC history that scored just about every game. Alabama stole many of its wins that season.

His column may be one of the very first in history from an actual newspaper that was specifically geared to be read by a targeted message board audience...
