Posted by Tiger_n_ATL There's nothing wrong with GG's article, it has kernels of truth in it and takes both sides of the argument, it just comes across as a form of douchebaggery, rather than genuine reporting.

It comes across as someone whose feelings were hurt after being corrected by the AD and Head coach publicly. It was embarrassing to him and now he is taking shots at Alleva that have nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Forget about whether you dislike Guilbeau's slanted articles about LSU. Even if you eliminate that this article comes across as juvenile and unprofessional.

This is in Jacques Doucet category of embarrassing.

#1 I fail to see the parallel GG is trying to make between the quotes and Alleva's actions in regards to Tennessee.

#2 It's obvious GG felt embarassed when Alleva corrected him publically

#3 GG needs to take a chill pill

Actually....there could be something to this article...though i dont usually care for Guilbeau. Apart from j. Lee, I wonder why Spencer Ware has lost touches. Probably 100 possible reasons why, but it could be that Les knows he may not be around in January, and thus the need to get some others more experience in case they are needed. Just a thought. (Hilliard has been great....but Ware was dominant as well.).

Guilbeau is a douchebag, why do we even let this guy aournd the LSU program. Les, needs to pull a Spurrier and ban tha a-hole from any LSU press conference. He is always spewing negativity. Even with article entertaining that Les is doing JL wrong. No need for that crap. Ban the douchebag

FWIW I disagree - he was defending his student athletes.

the office of the AD should not lower itself to comment on EVERY allegation/article.
"a very fine line" indeed.

....should get involved ONLY if it getting out of hand. IMO. It would be easier if it was done in a standard weekly "newsletter" (all items at once) and not addressed as it happens, it gives too much importance to the misrepresentations.

Alleva's emotional statement of Nov. 30 look foolish.

"Despite media and message board speculation, no LSU student-athletes have been declared ineligible for post-season competition," Alleva said. "The current semester is not complete, and finals are still ahead, so it is grossly unfair to our student-athletes, and it is both premature and irresponsible to speculate on the final grades and postseason eligibility of our student-athletes."

What is "emotional" or "foolish" about Alleva's statement, Glenn Guilblow?

It was an accurate statement, nothing more, nothing less.

I wish LSU would cancel Guilblow's press privileges at Tiger Stadium. Make him buy a ticket to get in.

douche alert! A student's academic standing should not be the subject of any new article, period. I am not sure what this guy and MM on 104.5's grinds this particular ax so much.

Question: If Glen believes that Lee will be ineligible for the BCSNC, WHY did he write an inflammatory article last week about Tiger fans questioning Miles on Lee's playing time? It makes total sense to me that if you are not going to have a player, then make the other guy did himself out of the hole that he was in (UGA first half).

GG is trying to save face, but if you read carefully, he is having to quietly crawfish a bit to do so.
He is a weasel who could survive only in journalism or politics. Kinda reminds me of David Vitter, to be honest...

AlxTiger,
You don't know David Vitter or you wouldn't have given that response.
