Uh, our average SEC record over the last two seasons is 4-4. That is the definition of mediocrity. Oh, and comparing mediocrity to ineptitude (e.g. the worst days of LSU under Hallman and Dinardo) doesn't change the fact that it is mediocrity.

4 losses with a schedule including ULL, Tulane, and Tech is mediocre by most standards

I would agree if we had LOST to one of those teams. But we did not.

You do realize that it is not possible to win every game every year right? With the amount of money that everyone (including LSU)is spending, the talent that they are bring in, and the most talented coaching staffs in the country, there are going to be years that your best just in not as good as another team's best. I understand that we have had some missed opportunities (Ole Miss, Arky) but still. The ball has just not rolled our way in a couple of games (Bama).

Hey, what would happen if Saban and Meyer go 8-8 in SEC next two years?

Say LSU goes 0-8 one year...and the next year goes 8-0 with a NC. Their average SEC record over those two years would be 4-4, but would they be mediocre? No...they'd be national champions. Point is...you can't lump years together to fit you agenda.

That question will go unanswered. Either that or the universal answer for that is "that's impossible and will never happen."

Assuming you have the capacity to utilize rudimentary logic, of course you could "lump" them together. A rational person would say: "In year one, when it went 0-8, LSU was absolutely atrocious. In year two, when it went 8-0, LSU was exceptional. Taken together, one can reach the conclusion that LSU was a mediocre program ON AVERAGE over the last two season."

Similarly, when LSU went 3-5 in the SEC in 2008, LSU actually performed at a level that was slightly less than mediocre. In 2009, when it went 5-3, LSU was slightly better than mediocre. Hence, ON AVERAGE, LSU has been a mediocre program over the last two seasons.

This is called "synthesis." Say it with me.

And the only person who has an "agenda" here - and a blatant one at that - is you, the reflexive defender of all things Miles.

wow....that's a shitload of spin right there.

Again...you'd have to lump the two years together to come up with that conclusion....which fits your agenda. I, honestly, wouldn't give a rats arse what they did two years ago if they had just won a NC.....but i don't have an agenda to push either.

We went 5-3 and finished 3rd overall in the best conference in the country.

Stop trying to make it like we had a bad year last year. No one will argue about 2008. It is just so dishonest to just spew 8-8 to say we suck.

SEC Record By Year
2005: 7-1
2006: 6-2
2007: 6-2
2008: 3-5
2009: 5-3

All the negatigers spewing the stat need to find another fricking team. We don't need idiots hanging around.
