I graduated LSU in 84 so pretty old I am sure compared to most on TD. It is funny how on this subject one or more of the Bama fans call TM trash, for smoking weed! I am an old man and weed is no big deal. Even the NFL pretty much ignores it now. It should be legal in my opinion. That would raise tons of revenue thru taxes and cut down on smuggling and dealing crime. And I am a big time republican saying all of this.

I agree with you and think all drugs should be legal. That isn't the issue though. It isn't, he made bad choices and opted for questionable friends and continued substance use instead of football.

It should be legal IMO, but it isn't and this is what we have. He made poor choices.

No offense but unless your black helicopter conspiracy theory includes the conspirator holding TM7's lips open and forcing him to take a hit it's irrelevant.

Most here are not as much concerned with the actions of the police, JJ, the maintenance worker or the folks on the grassy knoll, all that matters is TM7 had a shot however remote to get back on the team all he had to do was keep his nose clean. He didn't. No one to blame not the police, the media, JJ, voodoo, aliens or the maintenance worker no one other than TM7.

I hope the charges are dropped for the kid and he has a great NFL career and wish him great success but I want him nowhere near the program or our players.

But to call him trash is ignorant. But you are correct, as long as it is illegal you will get arrested. But like one person said, issue a summons dont cart them off in handcuffs

Many states have a minimum amount required for citation or arrest. It's 3 ozs here in Ak. Surprised they were arrested unless it was for possible distribution charges, even in La.

I found this very surprising too. I've had several friends caught with weed over the years and they just received a summons.

Maybe they were all arrested and brought in for questioning and that is when one admitted to owning the bookbag with the individual packages

At this current point in life, what did he covet the most?

A spot on the LSU Football team. Why would he come back and enroll in the school as a regular student with the hopes of being let back on the team, when he could've gone to another school to play?

Coming back to school was a PR move so he could add credibility to the "I cleaned up my act" story for NFL player personnel.

I usually have as much weed as they had in the house, I have a grinder, we have a digital scale(we bought it to weigh puppies) and we always have ziplock baggies. If cops busted into my house I am sure they could claim I sell weed even though that would be the furthest thing from the truth.
Do you keep your puppy scale, sandwich bags, and grinder al in a drawer? Is your weed in one package or in a bunch of individual smaller packages? That's what LE look for. Hell, they could say I'm running a meth lab in mine. Drano, lithium batteries, coffee filters, sudafed, camping feaul. Only need 3 items to qualify as a precursor for a meth lab as I understand it.

Do some cops reach to make something out of nothing? Absolutely. Is that the case here? I'd say no.

Its funny how all the LSU fans loved TM7 when he scored a td for the team and now that he can no longer score tds then "go back to the ghetto".

why can't we just say a guy made some mistakes. we all make different mistakes. we wish him well and hopes he gets his life together. it was weed, it wasn't heroin or crack.

what a fanbase we have!!!!!!

Huh?

Not another "judge the whole fan base by a few random comments idiot" are you? TM is well respected for what he did at LSU. He isn''t respected for throwing it away.

Uh, why should LSU fans defend him? Only reason anybody was a TM7 fan was because of what he did for LSU. He's a dumbass that made weed a priority over a promising future. I personally dgaf what happens to him now.

you don't have to and should not defend him but you should not also bash someone who helped LSU greatly. he made a some mistakes. we all do so. how may professional athletes have had weed/alcohol/drug problems. think lance armstrong.

just don't act like he is the scum of the earth!!

The hassle at the gate likely staged technically, i.e.buzzer disconnected, etc, etc. Inside man in with the pot and when JJ showed up the bust was on-two birds down with one stone. The super hated JJ who makes money for playing football and the potential money making TM. Inside man gets to stay out of prison on previous unpublicized chumped up charges or escapes threats from rogue police.
Mentality-'Yeah you can play football at LSU and make big money but not if I can help it' .

This isn't a stoner dick measuring contest. First I'm not a stoner. I rarely smoke nowdays. However is smoking puts you in another universe where you are to high to practice common sense you obviously can't handle your shite plain and simple.

The rant should pull its money together, hire a lawyer, and investigate this for ourselves. Mathieu and Jefferson are definitely going to affect this years' team and its season.
