It's a conspiracy. The FBI, the mafia, WBRZ, ESPN, and Nick Saban are all in on it. They hate LSU and want to see us fail.

Why were TM and JJ handcuffed and booked into Parish Prison on a simple possesion charge when the SOP is simply to issue a misdemeanor summons

This is my biggest question. Simple possession in BTR is a $500 ticket. No arrest, no booking.

What gives?

Bottom line is JJ is an idiot we all already knew that. Mathiu is burnt never let an officer in your house unless he has a warrant period. Make him get a warrant and call your lawyer immediately. That said they fricked up and Tyann has ruined this part of his life. It is a shame, but he obviously isn't the first. Time for LSU to move on.

You actually went there. You stay awake at nights thinking about this don't you. Get a life.

Does that change anyone's opinion of how he should be treated, or his future chances to play again, somewhere?

Let him play anywhere but here. Good riddance. I wish this would have happened to JJ his JR year.

You bring up some good points. This could very well have been a set up. But regardless they broke the law and there is no excuse for these guys. Why and who would set them up?

It was simple possession:

quote:

Mathieu, a junior from New Orleans, and Jefferson, a native of Destrehan near New Orleans who was LSU's quarterback from late in 2008 through 2010 and late in 2011, were arrested on misdemeanor charges of simple possession

im not a weed smoker, but i dont think it should be illegal and its not like tm7 has been in trouble for armed robbery or some other major crimes..,..but its against the law and tm7 knows whats at stake for him,now most people say how dumb or stupid he is for letting this happen again...i think he has major mental health issues and hope he gets the right help

I did think it was peculiar he is hanging with his dopehead buddies with all that pot and paraphanelia and then let's the cops in to search his apartment. Seems like he would stall or at least give his friends a heads up to start flushing evidence.

Nice job Columbo.

Fact is, if they were all making saltwater taffy for kids for Halloween, wouldn't be an issue.

Grazing and smokin da weed got 'em.

Sad waste.

Give it up. No matter what the circumstances were, he knew he shouldn't even be around the bud.

Not anymore.... I'm pretty sure BRPD was given the order to book everyone and not to issue summons anymore.

Not really. He doesn't want to stop smoking, and probably only stopped while in treatment in Houston. When he wants to stop, he'll stop hanging out with the dopehead buddies.

Having smoked weed on tops of all other drugs, I can say with 100% certainty that what happens in that scenario is you smoke some kindbud and get blown to another universe, you hear knocking and it's a cop. You are already on thin ice with your past, you're so high you're retarded, you're paranoid, and all this "well he should have done _______" type talk goes out the window. Trust me, I've been in that scenario several times.

Thankfully the cops just confiscated the weed and let me go with a warning. This probably would have been the case if knucklehead with him wasn't selling it with a digital scale and pre-packaged bags.

Does not matter to the super citizens on here. He broke the law. There are no small laws and big laws, just laws and they need to go down.

I think the OP raised some good questions and thought things smelled funny from the get go and I was one of JJ's biggest critics.

The 3:30 time doesn't mean anything

The charges were probably set at the station, when the cops determined who owned the book bag, etc
