Out of alllll of those coaches, many of them with the same resources at big schools.... you have a GRAND TOTAL of 2 NC's

Mainieri had 0 NCs prior to coming here so I’m not sure that your point is valid. We shouldn’t justify hiring somebody based on how many NCs they won at their previous school. And keep in mind that most people that have won an NC at the school they’re at now aren’t leaving probably.

Look LSU fans with their typical take after not winning a NC. Replace the coach. Signs of a ignorant fan base.

Paul was really good at recruiting gorilla ballers. But you still gotta attribute some of our struggles this year to injury, and as usual, would-be recruits who bolt for the big leagues.

Every single one of those coaches is better than Mainieri right now.

There are a lot of schools out there with coaches that have higher aspirations. And in college baseball, there’s not many jobs as good as LSU’s job.

all of those coaches can stay exactly where they are and be the all time best coach that particular university has ever seen and not have to deal with an ounce of the bullshite he would have to here. you think coaches dont pay attention to whats going on? you think they would just jump at an opportunity to come here knowing no matter what it'll never be enough? i get that it's lsu and everyone things it's the greatest place on earth but thats part of the delusion of the fanbase and exactly why most fans cant be happy with anything.

how’d Texas’s search go? Hell, how did LSU’s search go before landing CPM?

I heard there might be an announcement from CPM soon too!
That would make things easier and better for our new AD!
But maybe Woody needs his first task to be letting CPM go down the road.

(CPM won't coach again, by his choice as well)

I’ll go with the fact that the guys dad died so I think this past season wasn’t truly fair to judge him on.

Also we have had tough injury luck the last 2 years. To me, 2 years is a coincidence while 3 years makes it a problem. If we have pitcher issues Next year, it means we have an issue.

If he misses the CWS next year, can him.

You want to get rid of a coach who hosted a Super Regional and is the winningest coach in SEC tourney history, by far?!?...
You people have some serious entitlement issues...

This like keeping a b-ball coach for being the winningest coach in the NIT history.

PM doesn’t get paid to win the SEC tournament, he’s paid to win the CWS.

Gonna throw some stats out here and tell me if this sounds like a dominant program... LSU is now 5-4 under Mainieri at home in Super Regionals. AT HOME. They’ve never won a road regional under him. The last two years LSU is playing
.650 ball overall. They are 32-28 in conference. They are 13-9 against in State opponents, 11-29 in road games. The team ERA is 4.77 and the team BA is .278. Am I missing something? This isn’t a great program under him. It’s just not. The stats bear it out. And there’s no Alex Box mystique. No home field advantage. If you are barely above .500 in three game series to go to Omaha in your park, you ain’t dominating or intimidating anyone. Paul Mainieri is exceptionally mediocre. Is that what the program with more resources than any other in college baseball should be happy with? Being... eh, okay...?

He'll get another year, go to Omaha, lose the first 2 games, get an extension, then continue hitting his ceiling of maybe Supers or Omaha each year with sometimes losing a regional.
