0-5 with 5Ks is pretty loud... but Bear is not coming out of the lineup

Yes, he did play a little bit of defense and played fine for a first baseman. But for a hitter, he was absolutely a liability.

His defense and potential power can’t leave the lineup. Put him at 8

The only player I have less confidence in than Jones is Braswell. That ain’t saying much though as I would have more confidence in pretty much any random poster on TD than I do in Braswell.

Move him to the pine

He's actually a good defensive 1st baseman now and you just hope he gets hot in Omaha. He hasn't been bad all year. He's just in a slump. Hell, he's the reason we won the series against Arkansas in the regular season.

We can’t be giving him the most at-bats on the team. I get that more chances maybe snaps him out of the slump, but we’re going to lose and go home because of it at this point.

I'm cool with dropping him in the order, but we can't do without him at 1st. Hell, we have Braswell in there hitting .197 or whatever because he can turn the double plays we need at the hot corner. This team ain't perfect for sure.

Hell, can Brown play 1st effectively? Id so sit Jones down. Not sure what has happened to him his confidence is totally gone.

Don’t worry, there will be a pitcher with an ERA of 7.5 make a huge mistake and groove an 88 mph fastball, Jones will park it and everyone will proclaim the beast is BACK and all will be well again, until the Tigers face another decent pitcher.
Jones can’t hit a bull in the arse with a bass fiddle. He has lost every fundamental that he once had. He is totally mind screwed right now. Watch his hips. Before his bat crosses the plate his hips are pointed at 3rd base dugout. So is his head and eyes. He couldn’t hit a good curve with a 10 foot broom. EVERY COACH in this series knows it, too.

So you're saying that Jay Johnson doesn't know what he's doing and he's the one coach out of 8 that's too dumb to not bench Jared Jones?

Curiel went through a 3-4 wk slump where he looked lost at the plate.

Milam struggled much of the season in SEC play.

Let's just start the bench

I’m pretty sure he knows it, too. But sometimes you can’t fix it this late in the season. He’s solid defensively and CJJ probably doesn’t trust anybody else to play the 1 sack at this point in time. Either that or JJ has revealing pictures of Coach in compromising positions. But I digress.

First base may be the easiest position to play in all of baseball. I guarantee you we have someone else that has been practicing at first.

I think I would start him and bat him 9th. If he comes up with runners on base, you pinch hit for him.
