I remember him being in the portal earlier in the summer but haven't heard of him going anywhere.His name is still on the roster...

He was Texas Tech's best receiver in 2016, ahea dof 2 guys that got drafted by the NFL. He had some nice talent, injury derailed him here.

The only knock on him is that he had his shot to not only play, but to be our big dog, and he simply did not have the stuff.
I do not recall any overt anti-team or general trouble-making type of issues from him.
If he can avoid saying "by the way, the sex was never any good" on his way out the door, we should all thank him for his time and be grateful that his slot is available for the next guy up

In that offense he was in, which has seen plenty of prolific WRs of all talent levels.
Did our staff really evaluate this kid or did they look at his stats and just assume he could replicate that here?

It's actually a legit question. In 11 games as a soph Giles had 1158 yds and 13 TDs and 16.8ypc. That's likely up there close to some LSU all-time single season numbers.
What I saw in games (at LSU) was a guy with minimal separation, no burst and an inability to do much with the ball in his hands. I don't want to denigrate the guy, but there was just nothing dynamic about his game.

What kind of stats did Giles put up in the games against Miami, SELU, LA Tech, Rice and UCF?
