Then don't go get one yet. In a later comment you said you're incredibly indecisive. Dont do it.

Also dont make it visible. You can get mad at people saying its trashy, but while you're mad think about how many people are saying it, then think about future employers, girls, etc. Tattoos give off a bad first impression for a lot of people whether you agree with them or not. That's just reality.

I'm not worried what the ignorant man-children on here say. It's disappointing that their are so many ugly people on this site. I'm just another hardcore LSU fan that enjoys talking to others with similar interests. It just unfortunate that to have decent conversations you have to scroll through the FILTH of this thread.

I mean for real, how many people on this site can say they were financially stable at 23 (was 22 when I bought my home)? Grasping at straws just to make themselves feel superior, Haha it's such a joke.

Fella,

Tattoos are a bad idea. Think about it... do you wear the exact same style of chlothes that you did at 14? This will be on your body for the next 50 years. Your tastes and wants will change over your life. I’m 44. When I was 23, I was big time into Texas Hold em. That would have been what I would have gotten inked had I been into that. Now, I still enjoy Texas Hold em, but it’s not a big part of my life.

The other thing is you’re not an alumni. I’m a huge LSU fan, but I didn’t go there and I gotta tell ya, I would feel like a complete poser phony if I had an LSU tattoo but didn’t have a degree from LSU hanging on the wall.

That’s literally something trashy Bama fans do.

I was an LSU student for a year, my financial situation forced me to drop out of school. I studied in the quad. Finished last minute research papers in Middleton. Library, and ran cross campus because I had no time to reach the next class. So yea, LSU was a part of my life. It wasnt my fault it had to end.

You don't need to have attended and/or graduated from LSU to have love for the school. Purple and Gold was in my blood and a part of my soul way before I ever went to school there. Attending another college wouldn't have been able to take that away.

No judgment from me man, but I just can't relate to this. I'm in my 30s, and my dad would still try to whip my arse for getting a tattoo.

This entire fricking thread is just bait.

Don’t trust them, OP. Oilfield trash making oilfield cash ..amirite?

LSU tats and trucknuts will get you in that big deer camp you’ve been dreaming of faster though.

Bottom line, whether you or other invididuals that have or support getting tattooed, think it’s cool, decent people think it’s a reflection of poor judgment and decision making. And yes, trashy. If you’re cool with potential employers or network connections blowing you off so you can be you, and that’s more important to you than better financial opportunities in the future, then do it. Right or wrong, that is the bottom line!!!

As someone with an LSU tattoo, I'd say if you don't know exactly what you want, it's probably best to hold off. Not saying don't do it, just make sure you know what you want. I got mine when I was 21 and while I still like it, it's probably not what I would get today. I've been coming up with ideas to incorporate into a sleeve for the last 3 years now. It's not something to just rush into. Make sure you're gonna love it.
