GTFO with this. The WHO is the hire is def the news. If he brings in Steele he will be calling plays that he ran 10 years ago that aren't in our playbook while he has a panic attack, brick will run a conservative defense that will get us blasted, the WHO is key in this hire.

I think most people are worried about how this affects recruiting. Would feel a lot better having our guy in place and then focusing on shoring up the defensive side of this class. The longer it drags out, the more antsy people get.

A) I'm not saying it's a legit worry, just what I think is going through a lot of people's head.
B) You're saying a defensive recruit doesn't care who his coordinator will be? I know there are some, like Toliver, who are coming regardless, but having a clear picture of who will be running the defense will be helpful.

we haven't lost a recruit yet because of this
and if you are really worried about recruits, as much as tRant would hate it, Brick is probably the best DC hire since he already has a relationship with a lot of the recruits...

the only recruit that said Chavis leaving affected his decision was Brandon Martin. Maybe we get Phillips with Chavis...maybe. TN was confident about him as well when we had Chavis.

I just want to know what Brick Haley has done to even deserve consideration for the DC job at a top 10 school. Am I lost? Is this an alternate reality? The truth if he's hired as DC, it'll be because he's Les/Alleva's best option. Not because he's deserving of the job or that he did anything to earn it.
