This?

Just a couple's feet.

Yep, toes and shoes. I think it's corny, unappealing and looks like a shoe ad at first glance, but apparently, I'm the only one and it's certainly not a make or break for an otherwise reasonably attractive home page.

You don't need feet or toes to know that Geaux.com represents a tiled street name in Nola.

I can't get those crooked red toes out of my mind.

Sorry Chicken, but i don't get the point of Geaux.com. All the "stories" under each topic are just links to posts on TD.com. Why would someone go there just for that?

You say Geaux isn't an LSU site, hence the "cox communication" style coloring, but everything on it is headlined by "LSU". Honestly I don't see a big variance between "Geaux" and TD "Home", it just seems like another site you have to manuever through that brings you right back to the same TD boards and topics.

Like I said, I don't get it. But good luck.

The Geaux.com home page gives me the blues. It's too serious looking. Part of what was so attractive to me about td.com was that it was a LSU website that didn't take itself too seriously. I like the idea of Geaux.com as a whole being about the south. You could eventually have dining guides for every town that an SEC school resides in!

I agree with Gris Gris on those nasty crunk feet on the Geaux.com ad at the bottom. I'd rather see a stomped on corndog there than those feet.

Honestly....looks a little antiseptic for a Louisiana website/geaux-site...the look is boring in my opinion...

That said, the concept is solid, and I respect where y'all are trying to geaux...

Will you condider stories from random people (such as myself) if content is worthy?

So, is this the initial stage for phasing out the name TigerDroppings for a much more marketable one?

Finally, someone gets it. Feet and dining do not mix. I'd rather see Mardi Gras beads on the ground, but it doesn't need anything but the tiles though beads would add some much needed color.

Yeah, like I said, its not too inviting looking. Different colors would help.

Everytime I look at it and don't see LSU colors, I get sadder.

Finally Chicken I knew you had to have something coming since there hasn't been any major updates to TD.com.
Well done

nice work...I figured there had to be a good reason for the Geaux.com redirect to the dining guide to be down

I bet you I can tell you where you got those shoes!!!

FYI, a similar style of street marker (mosaics) was also used in Houston way back when. Redevelopment (gentrification for you democrats) has made them almost extinct, but you can still find a few around town that have them.

Here are a few articles on the subject if you are that bored:

Houston Chronicle article - Heights Mosaics

Houston Architecture - Street Mosaics 1

Houston Architecture - Street mosaics 2

On topic, I would love to see this turn into sort of a craigslist kind of thing that is geared towards the TD.com/SECrant.com demographic... but better!

Oh and I thought the Asian women ad was a step in this direction...
