Gathering at the midfield paw

So I bought my tickets through Stubhub and I’m getting Clemson Gameday information.
1) they are telling all their fans to wear orange
2) apparently they let their fans on the field after the singing of the Alma Mater.
For my fellow LSU fans making the road trip, see yall on the 50 after we upset them! Geaux Tigers!

I live in Atlanta and know a lot of people who went to school there. It's a very good school, beautiful campus, great stadium, passionate fans, cool traditions, good football history.
Let's beat the hell out of them, but Clemson isn't a school we need to disparage.

LSU isn’t Auburn.

Their fans came in here and posted/perpetuated/inflated injury rumors. They can get it like anyone else.

Gotta be gold to stand out right?

So, our fans created Clemson fan usernames and started multiple threads here and on their early 2000's message board? Checks out.

Got a couple Clemson alum friends and they make it seem like they don’t really wear purple. All their Clemson gear I’ve seen has been orange

You got links, I mostly saw the same trolls posting about Nuss' knee. The guy on their board created his account the day he started the rumor and was banned by them quickly.

Gold is going to look like orange. Purple.

No, I don't have links to deleted threads or banned posters.
There were multiple threads started on T net, and by "clemson" fans ion TD. But, I guess TD posters are just... naturally worse than Tnet ones?

On TD many are. I don't frequent T net, I only saw the one about Klubnik and the accident posted by a brand new account.
What were the injury reports on T net about, for those who don't frequent there, other than the one about Klubnik posted on the day the user signed up?

About the Nuss "injury." I don't frequent there, but I poked around during that week. There was also plenty of similar behavior on TD (e.g. posters creating new accounts to talk about a fantom, catastrophic knee injury).
The point is, there are shite bag posters on message boards. I've been a TD poster/lurker for nearly 20 years. It has always been true. It will always be true.
Gamesmanship comes in all shapes and sizes. A popular one, particularly during preseason, is starting up the rumor mill about injuries, coaching changes, etc.
Taking what someone posts (on any message board) seriously enough that you call the parents of a player, and those parents taking it seriously enough that they call their son, is ridiculous.
Is it "right"? No. But it's also not the travesty people are pretending it is.

Frick that. They come on here just to troll. LSU fans aren't going to Tigernet to tell them we're winning by 3 scores and all that BS. Frick them.

Yea I can only speak for myself. We got bad apples in every fanbase. 2019 trip to Nola was probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had going to a post season game. Nothing but hostility, don’t plan on going back. I do hope everyone enjoys our little ol Clemson

Agreed

Same, created my username thinking I would only ever post on the ticket exchange, blew my chance at full anonymity, though not many would know who I am anyway.

It seems more pronounced or at least more vitriolic now. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Agreed, but there is a line over which it becomes unacceptable. Lying about a major accident and someone being taken to a hospital is crossing the line IMO.

Is it? When presented like it is coming from a first responder? It is an entirely foreseable consequence of the post.

It's not a life or death situation, but it is something we should all call out as unacceptable. If it had been about an LSU kid, this board would be up in arms right now.
I feel like we are very close on this but simply disagree on how bad this particular incident was.
