And this self righteous douche bag isn't lobbying to get his defensive end back on the team?
He doesn't know jack shite about what happened or the character of our team. He needs to stfu after he apologizes to Coach Miles.

it's really funny how defensive some of you get over this.

Miles has not announced when Hill will play. No one knows how many games he will sit. Shortsighted of Patterson to make a statement so early.

Doesn't matter. The vote was to let him practice. Not a big deal. People are pissed because they think Miles won't put down further punishment. Like suspending him from games.

Though how would you feel if you were restricted from seeing your friends, basically family, for several months. IMO it would suck. Him being allowed to pratice again is a huge motivation boost for him, along with the second chance he was given.

Most people think he will be suspended for a couple games. In total I think that's a valid punishment for what he did.

This and his other misdemeanor have been blown out of proportion. Being a senior and banging a freshman is very common these days and has been for a long time. Punching a dumbass for starting shite also happens regularly. While he's been at LSU he's only gotten in trouble once. The punch was stupid, but the media has made this a way bigger deal than it should be.

Someone talks shite about me.. I don't care ... Talk about the family .. It's a problem.
I know for a fact that he doesn't know shite and neither does anyone else commenting. He's in a glass house, knows it and should be careful. He's setting himself up now.

les miles does not have to justify his decisions with gary patterson. it's none of patterson's business. the fact he made these comments lowers my esteem of him a great deal.

Meh, do you think he let the team vote to kick Tyrann off? If he really felt that Hill should be kicked off, he'd have done it himself and not let it up to vote. And I really don't think its that uncommon for college coaches to let the team vote on forgiving a player and allowing him to return.

So what's your point? As a HC does he actually think Hill's teammates would vote himoff the team? IMO,No.

CLM could have explained the entire situation differently and it wouldn't look like such a cop out to the majority of folks.

Also, I don't think Hill plays a down against TCU.

This

Does anyone think Miles didn't know what the outcome of the vote was gonna be? If he wanted him suspended he would have just suspended him or kicked him off the team. Everyone knows that no college player is going to be kicked off the team unless he is just hated. The kids stick together. Miles wanted Hill to stay so he let the team "vote" so they would feel like they were part of the process and so that Hill knew he was accepted by his teammates. It lets the kids feel like they are invested in the future of the team.

If I were Miles I would punish Hill by making him run sprints on the during TV timeouts and while the TCU band is on the field at halftime and the victory laps after the game.

Seemed like more of a forgiveness type thing to me. When there were ready to have Hill back, he would be back. But then again, I think he knew they would vote him back.

That's fine he wnated to make the kids feel apart of the process and etc. But, to go to the media and say "The players voted him back on"is a cop out.

because miles handled the situation differently than he would.

you mean than he thinks he would. patterson doesn't know the whole story and neither do we. it is entirely possible patterson would have handled the situation exactly like miles did. i have seen les miles handle his teams and while they have some of the same issues as EVERY TEAM IN THE COUNTRY he has stepped up and acted with propriety on every occasion. because of this, i trust he is doing the right thing now. and i don't trust gary patterson; i don't know much about him but i now know he sticks his fat mouth in whrere he shouldn't.
