I would believe all the stuff you just said, except for the fact that Patterson said that if we were playing somebody we'd beat by 100 pts that Les wouldn't leave it to a team vote.

He's unequivocally talking about Les and trying to get him to cave into pressure and suspend Hill.

Funny thing is, Hill was gonna be suspended anyway as Les alluded to punishment still forthcoming.

Miles knows that. He should just have made the decision himself. I think it may have been better for Hill-and ultimately for LSU, to make Hill sit for a year and earn his way back onto the field.

You think miles really let the team decide??

If you really think miles left the decision to the team, well then You're a special kind of stupid.

I think hilliard is better anyway.

Which is why he was passed up by Hill right?

To be fair to nolaeer, if we're honest here and we swap Patterson for Miles, leaving all other staff and the talent on the field the same, LSU doesnt lose to Dabo Sweeney and probably doesnt have the postseason blues as often as we do with leslie at the helm.

I like Miles, but he is what he is, and he aint what he aint.

He responded honestly.

He is not Hill's coach and he doesn't know the Hill situation as well as Hill's coach does.

Coaches are asked questions that they dodge all the time. His being asked a question doesn't excuse his arrogant, foolish response.

He should worry about the problems on his team and let Miles deal with the problems on the LSU team.

It was a cheap shot and showed a lack of class on the part of Patterson.

Feel free to buy into the spin that ESPiN etc. is putting on this, but it's really a non story. I'm all for buying into hype and stuff to add motivation for a game, but the media pundits have blown this way out of proportion.

Yeah, I agree, tcujsauce, that this is getting way overblown for media hype purposes, as I saw the GP interview as well, and it was in response to a direct question.

I *do* have to say, though, Coach Patterson has a long reputation for talking scheize about other teams -- and being both an LSU and BYU alum, as a BYU alum I clearly remember him constantly finding criticism for the Cougars, their coaching staff, their average player age, their stadium, their leaving the conference ("I'll never play BYU again"), and on and on.

So, I write this off as Gary Patterson being Gary Patterson, and I think LSU fans shouldn't be too worked up over his digs.

How can you not see that

Try taking off the p&g goggles. Be more objective.

We just witnessed dabo sweeney (dabo sweeney) beat LSU.

clemson.

Do you really qualify 3 bowl losses as "often"? Some one needs a dictionary.

Yeah, a coach that loses to Iowa State is guaranteed undefeated seasons at LSU.

I know it will never happen, but IMO it would be great to win 100-0.

Unprofessional comments by Patterson ... Miles would NEVER call out another coach through the media like that.

If Patterson and TCU have such a talented run defense, why not show it by stopping the best RB Lsu can put on the field. I also hope Johnny boy at ATM gets to play cause i want to see him suffer at the hands of Lsu and Bama DL. Instead of crying like a spoiled baby play your best against the opponents best and let the better team prevail. That what it's all about well that how it was when i started following the game 50 plus years ago.
