For decades that same statement or question has been made about dominant college teams.... Every time the true answer is No... A great college team would not beat a Pro team.

I believe that's true... If they lined it up and really played a game the Pro team would win virtually every time.

If for no other reason.... The best college team has maybe 10 NFL players starting between Offense and Defense...the NFL Team by definition has 22 between offense and defense and the pro team would take advantage of the mismatches... The biggest typically being the Pro QB vs the college defense

i don't think there is a "virtually" about it, barring about 20 injuries

Finebaum asked if bama could beat a pro team!!! Idiot
Danielson said No! Finebaum did not say anything for 5 seconds. They actually think they can beat a pro team.

Finebaum knows that Bama has no chance in hell of beating a pro team. Paul is just trying to stir up the gumps. That all.

I don't see how any LSU fan could not give the slight edge to Alabama. They drummed us in the national championship game and they have beaten twodecent teams. Or killed two decent teams is the better way of putting it. Two teams not as good as expected to be but both are twice as good as anybody we've played.

They deserve the number one ranking right now. Them beating us in the NCG game isn't hurting their case either. I think we will beat them but if we both go into Nov. 3rd unbeaten, they will be the favorites.

So I'm not mad at danielson for saying that. He gave them huge praise last week while calling their game but that is what any analyst does when the team they are calling kills the opponent. He always praises us when he's calling one of our games.

The 0-16 lions would still be 6-7 touchdown favorites against the best college team

Years ago, the '60's I think, the first exhibition game of the NFL season would pit college all stars against the reining champs. Occasionally the collegiates would win. In todays NFL, the talent pool is reduced closer to that of college because it's stocked full of what would be college seniors starting for many teams. Having said all of that, comparing a college team to a pro team is like the age old question, what do you call the person who is last in his class upon graduating Harvard Medical School? Doctor. The worst guy on any given NFL team is usually a college superstar. Tebow as an example.

Are there Bama sites whose posters are infatuated with anything related to LSU?

I don't mind the media giving a slight edge to Bama at this point in the season. It really does not matter. The game is played on the field in November.

It isn't like LSU is being compared to a team they will neve play.

He did ask that. He asked that sarcastically to take a jab at some of the obnoxious stuff that has been written on that subject. Your failure to pick up on that makes you the idiot.
