They probably made more than that in concessions. I usually buy a large coke and peanuts before every game and that's my only trip to the concession stand. However, I stuck it out until the bitter end hoping for a game and ended up buying nachos, a burger, chick-filet another coke and a damn frozen lemonade. WAY more than any refund I might get

Weight watchers will be next week's corporate sponsor.

frick that. LSU didn't want to. McNeese didn't want to. COMPLETELY meaningless game. Time to move on.

If LSU wanted to be truly fiscally responsible they would not have paid 500k to mcneese and taken 1/13 out of miles and coaching staffs salaries since they did not play game to reduce expenses incurred for game . I bet that staff would have had a different opinion playing that gm later or next day since it would affected their pocket books

Just miles lost wages of 325k makes up 10% the lost revenue and how Aleva handled this id say cut him loose on 1/13 of 700k another 54000
Keep doing this to the coaching staff and game becomes a lesser loss also I wonder what the pro rated taf fees for the prorated ticket costs that people did not get refunded come out to be. Did advertisers get screwed a credit or prorated refund
How did sec league office handle tv sponsorships ? All extremely legit questions for l$u

I no what your saying this was crazy and I don't no wat they should have done but certainly someone should have to pay because I really want to watch that game becuase Miles is a shitty coach and probably would have lost anyway but now I don't get too get a refund for the bozze I drunk

Just be glad our fans have something to bitch about in lieu of a game. Otherwise they'd all be beating their wives right now.

There was actually a reporter some years back in Dallas that did a piece on how domestic violence calls to 911 were double the norm on Sunday nights after a Cowboy loss. It probably doesn't even take a loss in BR, just toss dives or short-side options.

5 or $35 means a hell of a lot less to me than $3.2 million or whatever to MY university. Please keep the money.
Your feelings on the matter?

By the way, $30 x 100000 fans = $3 million.

weren't that many there, don't know how they will refund every ticket to the correct person. plus season ticket holders pay way more than the face value of the ticket. they also were selling $8 ponchos. that's extra cash because of the rain.

they aren't losing much, they should budget for things like this. They getting shite load from sec networks and they have been cashing in on all of us traveling to nuetral site games. This should be a non issue really.

Isn't 500k paid to mcneese considered lost revenue?

Until they do the common sense thing and sell beer, I don't want to hear about any money problems.

it's all good, but that 3.2 is 3.2 less that LSU will have to donate toward academics. about the surplus amount they donated last year.

lost revenue, whether LSU can "afford" it or not is definitely going to hit somewhere.

I say it was probably the right decision, but yeah, they'll have to make it up somewhere.
