LSU will likely win game 1 vs a 4 seed. Nola will pitch game two we take that game, so all we have to do is win one out of two games

If that 4 seed has one quality starter he could easily handcuff this team.

the 4 seed will be a midweek quality team, I fully suspect we will beat them. Even than if we do face a good arm put Poche out there he has been great this year at home. With Poche on the mound at home in a game 1 regional no way we lose.

Poche is a pretty damn good freshman pitcher. When he's on his game you're not going to hit him. Even without his best stuff today he did a great job getting out of jams. He pitches very well at home so we'll be okay in a regional...

That's true. 3 of his last 4 then. Not good out production though.

First and second inning, 5 runners on and no runs...changed the whole game. A couple of timely hits and we may chase Mengdon early. We allowed him to hang, settle in and then he shut our bats down.

Still almost made it to free baseball

Sucks but we should have plated more than 2 and we're lucky to get those.

Tomorrow is a new day, this team has shown heart and we'll take the series.

Odds are you're right, it's just real hard to have confidence in this team when the bats go silent for long periods of time and the bullpen is a roller coaster.

It's been talked about, but with the game on the line and McCune, who is known to struggle, on the mound, ahead in the count and on the road....the two pitchouts...

They were discussing yesterday, it is a "ballsy" call with NOLA. You're going to it with McCune??

Yep, I knew we lost when he came in. Was amazed he did so well, last night. His fast and change-up are so fat, you just have to hope he hits it to somebody. Zero outs, loaded the bases for a walk-off in the ninth. That's just giving the game away... Boneheaded decision, with recent track record.

Dunn is a pro, I hope he gets this staff focused and ready for the post season push.

With a different pitcher, maybe. Not with McCune on the mound

Everybody is too busy focusing on the 9th. Like I said earlier this game was lost when we didn't score in the 1st.

You just pointed out you were amazed Mccune did well last night. You didn't know shite when he came in today. Clearly nobody knows how a pitcher is going to do every time he comes to the mound.

The problem was the two runs we scored were because of a ball lost in the sun and a past ball on a strike out. This offense just isn't that good. Pitching staff will need to carry this team.

Didn't he come in last night with runners on 1st and 2nd no outs and a 2-0 count on the batter.

Every time he comes in I play The Coon and friends alert on my phone so it's always a small positive for me when he pitches.

He did great last night, that's why I was amazed, wasn't expecting it. Today was McCune, being McCune.

No Doubt. That's why I made the clutch hitting comment. We should have easily had two in the 1st. Then the game could be completely different. Coach knows, like we do, that this is not one of his better teams, so I think he overreacts on occasion when we struggle/miss opportunities.
