FYI: Flyby for tomorrow's game

For anyone interested, the flyby for tomorrow's game will be done by a B-52H from 2nd Bomb Wing here at Barksdale AFB and 2x F-15C's from the 159th Fighter Wing at Belle Chasse. Due to FAA and Air Force restrictions, they are limited to 250 knots airspeed and no lower than 1,000 feet above the stadium. Should still be a good show.

Will they drop shoes?

There's an airshow in Hammond tomorrow if you get that excited about a plane

May be the best part of the game

That would be awesome If they used a smart shoe to bean Mullens.

I don't need to go to an airshow to see a plane, but yes I do get excited about them. Especially when I've had the opportunity to fly those amazing warbeasts and give some Taliban, Al Qaeda, and ISIS bastards a chance to find out if the 72 virgin thing is true or not.

Awesome! Saw were the B52's are about to be re-engined. Looks like those beasts are going to be flying for a long time. Which I could be there to see the fly-over.

Test starts in 2025 and should start to hit the field in 2027. It's also getting a new Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar to replace our antiquated piece of shite from the 1960s, a bevy of new communications equipment, and integrating both a new nuclear cruise missile and conventional hypersonic missiles (if/when we ever get one that works). Well over $10B in upgrades over the next 10-15 years.
Plan is to fly the B-52 into the 2050s alongside the B-21 which will be replacing both the B-1 and B-2.

Sincerely appreciate your service to our great country! It’s always very cool to see those bad arse irreplaceable machines flying overhead in bossier.

How about you get a line on a C5 Galaxy or hell, maybe a smooth grouping of about 7 Blackhawks and bring 'em in LOW!!

I didn't make the request for this. Just in the approval chain for getting this specific request approved.
Oh, and I work at Air Force Global Strike Command Headquarters and we don't own either the C-5 or the Blackhawks so both of those would be completely out of my lane.

Let me know when Space Force does a flyby.

Exciting stuff. Those frames must be built like tanks to have such endurance. By 2050 they'll be almost 100 years old? What fabulous machines!
The Air Wing at Belle Chasse brought my family to New Orleans. There was a time some naval operations were being conducted from there and my dad had expertise in the ops. He would go to Barksdale often and took me a couple times in the 70's. Might have been a family day or something, was just a kid but I don't remember seeing any B52's back then, Was an awesome experience though. There was something there connected to his efforts but he never talked about it much even when I asked. He knew to keep his mouth shut. I gathered his ops where somewhat clandestine. I always believed they were drug ops but he never admitted it.
EDIT: Also appreciate your service! Thanks for making the commitment and putting yourself in harms way
