But that being said, I wouldn't mind a couple of "scare you when they come to the plate" hitters. And LSU has not had any guys like that for a while - maybe Beloso and possibly Garza in the future.

Great idea and who would ever want these two players at the plate in order to intimidate the opponent?

LSU all time hits leader:
Antoine Duplantis OF 5-11 177

SEC all time hits leader:
Jake Mangum 1B 6-1 179 lbs

The two of them combined couldn't scare a fly off a piece of watermelon.

LSU and the SEC needs bigger players. They will never be successful until they do that.

Similarly, the lengths that some ranters go to to defend underachieving and mediocrity is astounding.

This team was not well coached nor did it reach its potential.

I’m just thankful that we have an AD who expects more than his predecessor did.

We were in position to win both of those games, the luck just didn't fall our way. Baseball recruiting is much more difficult now that the sport has expanded and become more popular. This Omaha or bust mentality is not realistic anymore. And that FSU team wasn't a bunch of scrubs either. they had experience and skill all over the field.

Hal is on the roster because CPM believes being a coach’s son is a 6th tool.

It is, the ability to play without needing a scholarship allotment. Kramer Robertson had the same tool. So does Drew Bianco. And Clay Moffitt. And for different reasons, Maurice Hampton.

Altuve is an exception not a rule.

This guy is also a professional baseball player for the Houston Astros. I don't think a lot of BAD players make major league rosters.

Are we comparing Hal to Altuve?

Yes.

Is that not the subject of this thread - the Rantard myth that LSU's players are too small. Is Altuve taller than Hal? Weighs more?

Ok and again, exceptions to the rule.

The Cubs’s Infield started average 6’ 2” and 215 lbs.

The Dodgers average 6’ 1.75” and 210

The Yankees have 1 positional
Player under 6” and he is 5’ 11”

Muggsy Bogues was in the NBA. But you should not recruit nothing but 5’ 3” guards.

How dare you bring facts and logic to the rant. Don’t change the reputation of these little crybabies. Let them be little bitches. I like to laugh at them.

Again the facts are that even with an extremely short player they’re taller and bigger in the infield and outfield.

Good try but you missed your target thread.

This thread is about the Rantard myth that CPM desires, recruits and has small players on the LSU roster and that is why LSU is out of the tournament.

The main purpose here is to laugh at the fact that one moron can post something that is complete BS. Then every simpleton who doesn't have their own thoughts thinks it is the greatest information ever and runs with it. It is not to bitch about the same shite a hundred other threads are doing.

It’s a lot less about the size and more about the fact that three of LSU’s regular starters combined to hit 1 home run this year.

Complicated, I know.

It’s like he doesn’t understand Altuve is a good player despite his size, not because of it.

Their infield on average are 5’11.5” we average 5’10.6”

And that is including Altuve who is 6 inches shorter than any other I field Starter.

Their SS is 6’ 4”

The sole purpose of your thread is to insult other posters?

What is your opinion on why LSU baseball once again underachieved?

Let’s give your thread some value.

Size doesn’t really matter. But look at some of those weights. LSU has a small team

So the Astros have an outfield that is, on average, 27 pounds bigger than our starting outfield.

Congratulations though on finding the one infield in baseball that weighs less than LSU's.

It hasn't always been his MO, but it certainly has been of late.

The 3rd smallest starter in 2009 would have been the 3rd biggest starter for this team.

Anybody that was at the box this weekend (I was row 2 above the LSU dugout) could see the size differential between FSU and LSU position players.

It was noticeable.
