Fun Hypothetical: LSU wins it all by 2020. Does Les Miles get any credit?

Scenario: It's January 2020. LSU football has won a national championship and risen back to the top of College Football once again.
1) Does Ed Orgeron get all the credit for righting the ship, promoting Ensminger, bringing in fresh talent, and hiring new coaches/analysts?
2) Does Les Miles get partial credit for originally hiring Aranda/Ensminger (not to mention Orgeron) and handing over a solid program with a great foundation of athletic talent?
Thoughts? You can discuss or assign percentages of credit to Ed, Les, or both.

Not 2 and half years removed from the team. He didn't win it with those hires before he left and they did what he wanted them to do, so now that they're doing it they're way he doesn't get credit. That passed last year.

In reality, the coach of the team that year is the coach of the team. No one else gets a ring, so assigning "credit" is useless.
That being said, if you were a person who felt the need to credit Saban with 2007's NC, then by all means, Miles gets the same level of credit.
Don't be one of those people...they are usually assholes.

The only credit Miles gets is that we would have won it in spite of him and his lackluster recruiting on the OLine and DLine...

Yes. If anything for bringing in future HC Dave Aranda as DC.

Credit always goes to the current staff. Period.

The better question would be if O would get credit?

Miles would be 4 years off the job? Yea, sure, he should get all the credic

This has been greatly exaggerated by the O propaganda machine.
It's amazing how some have taken it and ran with it. I was overjoyed when Miles was fired but he didn't leave anything nearly as depleted as some are saying . Miles inability to produce a modern offense which cost games led to his firing. This problem being fixed or not is still to be determined.

Tell that to all of the people that give Saban the credit for the '07 championship.

That's interesting because of how so many people give Saban the credit for Miles team. Saban left in '04 and Miles NC team was in '07.

Right as usual.
But around here, that isn't the case.
Didn't Miles leave a program in shambles anyway? We were basically Middle Tennessee State when he left right? I mean, that is the narrative.

And when I've asked if Miles would get credit for a '19 championship, I've been told that Miles didn't leave shite and shouldn't get credit.

If only we had the talent to have beaten Troy last season...?

No.

does O get all the credit
No, some credit would go to Ensminger for righting the offense. Some credit would go to Aranda.
Obviously O gets credit but he would not get all, in fact I would say Ensminger would get majority credit in this "hypothetical scenario."
