They can easily just add a Saturday & a Sunday to make up the difference.

IT'S. NOT. THAT. HARD.

real simple. Just don't go. I never did when I was in school and it took me 7 years to get my BS.

Semester starts on 1/13, and classes end on 5/1. That’s 16 weeks. Spring break, Mardi Gras, and Easter (Good Friday) account for 8.5 days. When you pay for a class, you’re paying for 15 weeks. LSU is already sort of pushing it; they don’t have room to cancel classes for a football game in the spring semester.

at you

Did you ever learn how to add?

Hard as it may be for diehard fans to comprehend, there are thousands of students who only marginally care that there's a game Monday night. Some arent aware/don't care at all. If I'm a grad student from Belize or a veteran on the GI Bill with a young family, I'm just trying to get through school as quickly and cheaply as possible.

This is a special circumstance, you push the start of the semester back.

There's absolutely zero way they can do this. These dates are set months in advance.

And also you’re probably trying to get what you paid for, and if class is canceled for an off-campus football game, you’re kinda not getting it.

What cost or time impact do you think is happening by accommodating the vast majority of students that do care for the championship?

Maybe the athletic department should stop giving the academic side millions of dollars a year. Of course, all generated by football. Whoever is complaining about cancelling classes has probably never ran a business before.

100% serious. Do you not realize that most colleges have Saturday/Sundays as make up dates for severe weather?

It's no different than a multi-million dollar impact to your University by way of a Monday night National Championship an hour away.

Only losers have afternoon classes on the MWF block. Either skip your syllabus day unless you have some professor taking attendance or get over the fact that you chose a terrible schedule. Or your grades suck and you don't have that option lol

Severe weather is a safety issue for students and employees. Not the same thing.

The only thing they could have done was take some days away from Spring break or another holiday.

Somehow, I think people would have bitched about that too.

And they’d be right to do so. Think of students who have international flights reserved for spring break. That’s more important than a bunch of Jadens getting their beauty sleep after a football game 90 miles away that was booked a week ago.

Why do you little snowflakes pussies think you deserve a day off for a football game ? Like everyone with jobs just doesn’t work ?

That said I’m taking the day off because I’m a snowflake pussy too .
