I assume only the SEC record determines the road to Atlanta?

Even if we beat Bama they would have to lose to Auburn also. And in that case, Auburn would go to Atlanta. Assuming us and Auburn wins out. I see us winning out and Bama beating Auburn so it will likely be them in Atlanta and #1-#2 and us at #4. A reverse situation from 2011. Hopefully we reap the benefits of the extra week off this time.

The hell is wrong with you? You should never want to see Bama have success.

Booger also said on Kanell just now that he thought Leonard will be a non factor in the game

Based on Bama's history, that's a pretty safe statement.

I agree with what others have said about Booger really going out of his way to not sound like a homer.

What if Auburn beats Bama and wins the West after we run the table? Would the same Bama argument then be used in our favor? Something tells me it would not. It will then be said...no divisional winner..no playoff.

I assume that anytime anyone is discussing LSU "winning out" there is an implied SECCG win in there. If LSU wins the rest of its regular season games but fails to win the West, then LSU isn't going making the Playoffs (and rightly so).

If both LSU and Auburn wins out Auburn goes. Then you have 3 top 6 ranked team. If A&M only loses to us the rest of the way then you have four team in the top 10.

9-2 LSU
10-2 Auburn
10-2 Alabama
10-2 TX A&M

The F4 will be:

Michigan/Ohio State Winner
Clemson
Washington
SEC winner as long as it isn't Florida.

It would be awesome for the last week of the season to have two games mean so much.

Imagine: LSU (6-1) vs Texas AM (6-1)
Alabama (6-1) vs Auburn (6-1)

LSU wins and Bama wins - LSU wins West
LSU wins and Auburn wins - Auburn wins West
Texas AM wins, Auburn wins - AM wins West
Texas AM wins, Bama wins - Bama wins West

Those two games would be epic with so much riding on them.....I know...lots of games left to play but dang, that would make for 1 incredible few days.

People are so dumb for making statements like this with a month to go. How the hell are we in if there's a handful of other 0 and 1 loss conference champs?

Because if we win out, that will give us wins over the #1,4, and 11 teams in the country over the final month. Then an SEC title game rematch (most likely) against Florida who would still be top 15-17 at that point. That would be an insane 5 game stretch.

Plus they don't really care about records too much and I think they'll view us differently than another 2 loss team because A) The losses were with a different coach and B) those 2 teams are currently ranked 8th and 9th in the playoff standings.

Also, does anyone really think the SEC champs will be snubbed?

lol

Our #13 ranking is very telling, considering our résumé isn't near the 13th best in the country.

If LSU beats Alabama, we will be in the top 5 next week, IMO.

If LSU wins out, not only will we be in the playoff, we'll be the #1 or #2 seed. Even if Washington and Clemson go undefeated.

We'd have won 3-4 games against top 15 teams in less than a month. 2 of those games likely against top 5 teams.

They are assuming that Auburn loses again, likely to the gumps.

"Winning out" where LSU is "100 percent in the playoff" includes winning the SECCG. We don't reach Atlanta, you can forget the playoff.

top 5 next week? At a minimum unless a crazy upset happens Mich, Washington, Clemson, Wisconsin, and Auburn will for sure be higher. Louisville, OSU, and A&M most likely will be as well, and probably Bama too. LSU will be 8th at the best, probably 10th
