Any coach who doesn't have LSU in the top 5 year in year out with the talent you recruit is a shitty coach..Plain and simple, there's really no debate.

This should get a record number of upvotes.
You place consistently more LSU players on NFL teams than other top ranked colleges, your team should contend every year for a national championship.

You think the OL, RBs, and the QB you saw on Saturday are top 5 talent? The best RB was a walk on.

Yeah, you lose 21 players to the NFL and others sitting out for covid (quitters) and I'm certain all top 5 teams will be just as strong the next year. Yeah, I'm sure. Idiot.

The talent is there. It takes coaching to develop it. If all it took to win is talent then coaches wouldn’t make $8 million+

I'd change it to top 10, but yeah... exactly what everyone who is frustrated is thinking.

Good coaches, and not shrimp boat captains seem to get lucky and not have 453816 players go pro early, and 1748179929 sit out due to the ebola virus. As of now, we are stuck with coach 0.
College coaches and ad's across the country (if they were blunt) would tell you LSU has ABSOLUTELY pissed away 2 or 3 Natty's since Nick left. The incompetence of our last 2 coaches is ASTOUNDING. The fact that Les won 1, and the cookie monster lucked into another illustrates the shape Saban and Emmett left us in. We can thank those 2 for making us a top 5 job.

Coaching is the difference between the “other” top 4/5 with comparable recruiting classes- Bama, OSU, Clemson, OU and hell even UGA. There’s been one constant the past few years at LSU.
