Can't help but think of these folks and wonder how much they'd be enjoying this season and this championship weekend.

A special shout out to old friend, former Homedale Inn owner and LSU superfan Jeremiah Hynes, featured starting @ 2:56. RIP to you and to Miss Margie. We know you'll be watching Monday night.

Men of LSU

Thanks for posting this EBT. Terrific video. Brings back some memories.

Shout out to Mr Gene Orgeron & his LSU van about the 12:35 mark. A great man. My dad & Mr Gene were very good friends. I rode to & from a few LSU games in that van as a kid. Fun times!

The legendary Big Red with the megaphone toward the beginning.

You could literally single him out and hear him from across the stadium. Tigah Bait!!! Tigah Bait!!! Tigah Bait!!!

What a piece of history. Folks outside of LA have a difficult time understanding the passion. That’s their problem:-)

This video is incredible. I made sure to download it so if it ever gets taken off of YouTube I have it forever.

ETA: love how many things are exactly the same

That was one of the first things that I took from the video.

If I had a dollar for every time that Mr. Jerry was red nosed behind the bar at Homedale Inn and re-telling that "crash into the bayou and flag a ride to the game" story, I could have retired 5 years before I did.

Very fun watch. Trying to convert that 30k van to today’s dollars. Prob around 80-100k dollars today.

What an awesome time capsule that distills what it was and is to be an LSU Tigah football fan! 1982 was the year I graduated high school and started at LSU, so this did bring back some memories for me as well of my first Saturday night in the Real DEATH VALLEY! Thanks OP and GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Thanks for posting this.

It's amazing how much more prevalent that New Orleans yat accent used to be. When I was a kid we made fun of it, but it's definitely dying out.
