As long as Hatcher is fricking missing tackles again we should be good to go, just play the assignments and wrap up.

Just have someone hit TR every play, wether he is in pass protection, running, or recieving. Have someone give him a good "pop" even he doesnt have the ball.

Exactly! Not only TR but also the TE when he releases. When the Strong side LB reads pass, he should immidiately find the TE, and knock the hell out of him...do not just let him release.. same with the back out of the back field, when that back passes the LOS, whoever is covering should knock him off his route. We need to play physical, not just let these guys run thier merry little route.

What makes you think that?

We did literally every game all year. Our linebackers can't cover.

I disagree

TR caught 2 balls were he was completely unaccounted for.

I would love to hear Chavis break down what happened on those plays

guys. when you have a linebacker covering a running back, he's going to get beat every now and then. that's the matchup that all offenses try to get in pass routes, and hence how the plays is actually designed. an running back iso'ed on a lb with space to work.

Eh, it's not that we're getting beat. We lose backs out of the backfield all the time. Sometimes there's no one within a 10 yard radius of them when they go out in the flat.

Our linebackers have been excellent against the run. I understand linebackers will get beat from time to time, but they definitely have some room to improve in the passing game, hopefully before January 9th.

It wasnt the run where TR gashed us. It was the pass. someone needs to be on him when he releases to the flat to take those away.

Most of Bama's passes were short... i think we need to play more aggressive near the LOS and make him beat us over the top. We have the pass rush to get to him so it may create turnovers if we force him to hold the ball a second or two longer, and we have the players to run downfield with them.

I feel like an idiot second guessing The Chief.

That's two more plays than we can afford to have Richardson unaccounted for.

When he lines up in the backfield with McCarron in shot gun, and there is no fake to him, there's really no excuse whatsoever to leave him wide open in the flat.

I agree. I am glad he doesn't have stellar speed when compared to LSU athletes

I know. I'm just giving them their credit where credit is due.

They have been great against the run this season. I'm in your corner when it comes to their play against the pass.
