Call it a weak schedule, they just ran the table in the playoffs

I still think they wanted to can Kelly within a couple years while Freeman learned the ropes. Kelly probably picked up on that and bolted. It’s kinda becoming obvious they knew they had a great coach and wanted him as hc at some point. It just happened sooner.
Not that I don’t think Kelly will work out here. Just saying what I think they did.

Brian Kelly is a fricking fraud. Him also being a piece of shite will make us even more of a laughing stock for taking him from there and giving him that contract.
He’s definitely not a fraud. He might be a piece of shite but I don’t know enough about him to judge him.

Freeman inherited a solid program from Kelly. Kelly inherited an absolute pile of crap from Orgeron

Yall are feening hard on that copium. Just hating at this point. Let's not act like MF went to the Natty the year after BK left. It's been 3 years. Has BK been to any type of playoff in that time? With a Heisman winning QB no less? BK left ND because he couldn't win a Natty there and his replacement is blowing a hole in that reasoning. All these excuses are weak.

Butter Kreme doesn't have the Offensive Line Coaching/Personnel at LSU that he did at Notre Dame. It's not even close. (And that's his fault for accepting mediocrity in that important area)

If Kelly had to do it all over again, he wouldn't have made the move. He was late to the game on NIL and made atrocious defensive hires to start his tenure here. It feels like he's just getting his feet under him and it is year 4.
Having said that, when ND gets punked in the title game, it will somewhat validate his reasoning for leaving there. This ND team isn't great and I can't think of a modern national champion they'd be competitive with.
It remains to be seen whether LSU can field a team that could either in the NIL era.
