Free ticket to game tonight

Yes, I had a free ticket to tonight’s game, in a suite. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend. Why? Because my boss said, I need you to meet me in Florida, mandatory. This had been in the works for the last couple of weeks, both the free ticket and my required attendance for work.
I get into Florida last night, get settled into my hotel and receive an email from her stating, “sorry, some things have come up that require me to stay back and not meet you in Florida, have a great week!”
If money weren’t required to provide for my family, I would have fcuking told her how bad she sucks as a leader and not just because of this situation. So, I’ll be holed up in my hotel room watching the game on a 37” TV tonight instead of joining my wife and her friends in a suite.

Why not find the closest bar and watch on a bigger TV? Or find the closest LSU watch party?

I may do that, but I am in a retirement community area and there’s no guarantee that anything within 10 miles from me will be open that late, nor will I be able to hear the game.

At first, after reading your post, my blood started boiling. I was upset for you, and definitely put myself in your shoes.
Then, a peace came over me. I considered that in the whole world, you're very lucky. You have work and I assume steady income. You have people that love you, and even your own family. You have air conditioning, and are staying in your own private room safely with assumed amenities that will make it comfortable. Im sure you could have a few beers, and a full belly of food.
Your wife must be a great catch cause she is a LSU Tiger, and most importantly you are lucky because you're a LSU Tiger fan! Hope this lends perspective. Nothing saying you cant appreciate what you have and enjoy your evening in the peace and comfort of where you're staying.

Meetings don’t end until 4 pm EST and then I would have one hour + drive back to Orlando area to catch a flight. I’ve explored that idea, simply not enough time.
