It is a big deal. It’s trashy as frick and yeah I know it’s picked up by Sunday’s but it should never get that bad to begin with.
As for your comment about pledges being drunk as frick on gameday, don’t let them get so fricking drunk. They’re pledges, not people.

I tailgate in another popular area. No portalets and very few trash cans. Seems like a message to me.

When I was a student at LSU, I hardly knew fraternities on campus existed beyond a group of guys cloistered together at football games. Otherwise, they were of no consequence.
I say let them have the parade grounds for tailgating, let them have their fun. They seem to like herding, so give them their own spot to graze.

Assign them spots.
Assign them trash cans and extra liners
Put lots of toilets in area
Require it look like it was before they showed up within 12 hours of game start .
Fine them if they do not do it
Remove tailgate privileges on campus if they get two fines ( third strike)
Do something so they do not destroy the new grass on parade ground ( I believe it was from practice field)
I was Greek.. we had fun but we also took pride and responsibility…some leave their spot
