quote:

Wilson is a coach who schedules every minute of practice to the blade of grass position groups must stand on. Drills for quarterbacks and wide receivers are done perpendicular to each other, so they can join together quickly when the team starts to run routes. During the drills, Wilson wanders around the field, giving an adjustment for a running back here, a tip for a defensive back there. His meticulous nature carries over into the locker room, too. When towels are left on the locker room floor, Wilson will post pictures of the misdeed around the facility. Details matter to Wilson.

O is going nowhere this year. By the end of next season, this guy will be primed & ready. Coaching college football is an exercise in micro management all day long, and Frank Wilson seems to get that.

Can't get much worse, right?

We going down the "one of us" path again though?

I say bring him home.

I like Frank and I think he's doing a great job, but it'll be harder for them to take another risk on someone without a lot of head coaching experience after this fricking fiasco. Although, I honestly wish they would have hired Frank last year instead of Orgeron right now.

Just because he’s a familiar name doesn’t mean we should hire him. There are plenty of better candidates out there. If he hadn’t once coached at LSU nobody would be mentioning his name. Do you people not realize that line of thinking is exactly how we got into this mess that is the hiring of Ed Orgeron?

I agree with this, being a young coach you don't have to pay much for him to come home.

O is a gimmick hire because he talks like us *somewhat*. It was a feel good story that badly backfired. Alleva should be relieved of his duties IMMEDIATELY with that contract he agreed to pay....Jesus, my 14 year old lazy arse son has more sense then that!

No more coaching projects after this. Frank may very well end up being a good coach, but he's not ready to clean up the mess that's about to be left behind. LSU needs a seasoned proven winner.

If we get rid of O, Alleva has to go to. Solves the main problem and I think it takes the sting out of the perception that things are COMPLETELY out of control in BR, and people would actually want to come coach here.

That being said, with a new AD, they won't have the connection and relationship with Frank that I suppose Alleva would have so I seriously doubt he would be in the list of main candidates.

I want a coach with Zero ties to the program. A type A, alpha mentality that isn't going to try and please every single person associated with the program, just win.

If Frank was part of sabatoging Les - which is very likely - then he doesn't step foot LSU's campus again.

hes doing good over there at UTSA...let him get a bump up to a power 5 school next year...get a couple good years in at a power 5 then give him a shot here.

he needs to prove himself at a power 5. otherwise it's a "one of us" hire.

Someone we probably won't be able to afford. If LSU dumps O and is responsible for 2 buyouts, they can't really go out and open the checkbook for anyone. It's going to be that hardly known unproven winner, and like I said yesterday, it's all going to come down to trusting who's doing your search.

We need a clean break and fresh start. New perspective.

This is fuching insane. Frank Wilson was the best recruiter Les ever had. How the hell did Frank "sabatoge" Les?

No more risky hires. We need a home run from the start.
