Yall are taking that way out of context

How else can you take “let me coach this game or I’m going to burn this place down”?

Mind you this is being said by a person whose primary skill is being able to steer kids to your program or away from your program.

Seriously.

I’d like an explanation of how this should be interpreted in a good way

How do I take it? That he wants to finish the season as the interim head coach so that his players can end the season at least somewhat normal after the shite show they went through.

That fact that this quote bothers yall is baffling

He was saying that to an administrator who presumably has the power to prevent him from coaching and was making that decision.

What were they to interpret from that quote if they made the decision to NOT let him coach?

He didn’t say I’d run through a brick wall to coach them.

He didn’t say he’d crawl to Houston and get a front row seat if they didn’t let him coach.

He said im going to burn this place down

Apparently they don’t process that quote like a woman like you seem to do

I think they did.

They decided to have a quiet exit to a shite season and let him coach

As noted there’s plenty of other ways to say that he would do anything to coach his guys without it being a threat

I never said anything like that.

I’m saying that he was implying he’d blow up the recruiting class and poach current players and advise even more to opt out

You find it baffling people have issue with an LSU coach making demands of the program with “burn it all down” if he doesn’t get his way?

If you truly find that baffling that says more about you than it does the people who are irritated with Wilson.

What exactly do you think is the difference? Please sell us how one is better than the other.

There is a gigantic difference because you’re trying to spin it that he wanted to ruin the program and are trying to validate the made up rumor of him negatively recruiting LSU. That didn’t happen. It isn’t true.

He said he would blow up the building if the didn’t get to ride with his boys. Stupid quote, sure. But you’re being soft. You’re trying to find something to get mad over. This is nothing.

You want to hate him. We get it.

Im not mad at this. He has a passion for LSU and he wanted to finish out w the crew he bonded w for years. Hell, if the refs didnt just outright, purposefully give a touchdown to houston right before the half (and its a fact they did, not opinion) then we prob win that game missing most of our starters.

The "fans" in this thread suck.

Sorry you necks can't comprehend hyperbole.

Frank has been around so long because the kids and their families know how much he cared about them as athletes and as people.

If you haven't figured it out by now, you never will.

This is the part where a bunch of nerds on the internet take this quote out of context since they want someone to blame for the end of this season.

In reality, Frank didn't mean he was actually going to burn it down but just that he really wanted to coach these players to the end.

But as rantards do, this will be made to be something it's not.

Anybody with an ounce of common sense would know this... these Drama Queens just chose not to understand because they needed something to b*tch about today. The weird desire to create a negative narrative about the guy has been brewing for 2-3 weeks now.

Ah yes. Now I see how this is fine and totally different and more acceptable than wanting to burn it all down. What reputable character Wilson must have.

God forbid people have issues with a coach being petulant and threatening the program we love.

To be clear: I don’t hate Wilson, never said I did.

He outed himself as being petulant trash on his way out. Not sure why you’re knighting for him when people are treating him commensurate with how he acted. You must be one of his sycophants.

I’m not knighting for him. Think he’s a mediocre coach, at best.

Just tired of you gigantic pussies on this board crying over everything. You’re one of them. Bleeding all over the board.
