I know they didn't peak at the same time, but are we going to look back at this as the best backfield that ever shared time together in SEC history?

Cadillac and Ronnie Brown were pretty good. as well as Ingram and Richardson. Also Gurley and Chubb. And that's just recently

McFadden, Jones and Hillis were pretty stout as well. Maybe just stick out in my mind because they always rushed for what seemed like 500 yards against LSU.

Don't argue with a Georgia fan on this. They'll tell you Hershel Walker and anyone who was on the UGA depth chart was the greatest backfield ever.

And they would be right.

Chubb & Todd Gurley is the best UGA combo even with Gurley playing half a season

I would say yes, except for the fact we rarely used both at the same time. Arkansas's combination of McFadden and Jones was the best in modern college football imo.

No one ever talks about Jamal Lewis and Travis Henry at Tennessee

I don't think they are close to being the best backfield in SEC history.

Jim Taylor/Billy Cannon were a pretty good combo, though before my time.

Bo Jackson (1st overall pick), Brent Fullwood (4th pick the next year), and Tommie Agee (5th round) were pretty good.

Mark Ingram Trent Richardson backfield makes a case for sure.

NCAA I don't think anyone touches the Thurman Thomas / Barry Sanders backfield at Oklahoma State

Eddie Lacy was in the same backfield for a year too. The aforementioned backfield of McFadden/Jones was pretty good. Vincent, Addai, and Broussard all had good years and were there at the same time, but they never had good years at the same time.
