Holy shite. Yeah a physical freal thats been waiting his entire life for this moment will just stop and let him self go when he his at his dream's door.
or...
That ankle required rest and he picked up a few extra pounds allowing it to heal.
You guys take things so personally.

It literally gets in the way of you having a rational conversation.
Let me put it this way. If he were playing at LSU this year, I wouldn't want him at 240. Having said that, if he were playing at LSU this year, I wouldn't be overly concerned about him being a little heavy in early March.

seriously doubt he runs faster than a 4.53 at 240.

Please show me where i got personal. Im sorry youre taking your opinion that LF is out of shape and acting like its a fact. LF plays at 235 and this year during the ole miss game he was clocked at higher speed than any nfl player this past season.
Why are you so football ignorant? Its makes having a rational conversation with you impossible.
Thats getting personal.

That's 5 pounds over what he was listed to start the season in 2016. An athlete can easily lose 5 pounds in water weight with only a couple of days.

Saints need a FB and LB. Fournette can do both at that weight.

Exactly. I refuse to believe a guy like LF ( strong character)would let himself go a month before reaching his dream. Ankle injury or not.

There is a difference between getting personal and taking things personal. You realize this don't you?

Not at all. I'm offering an opinion. I think Fournette's elite skill is his burst. If he gets too heavy, it can affect that. It can also contribute to his bad wheels.

I love that you elaborated and gave concrete proof that you don't know the difference between getting personal and taking something personal.

At least you admit that you are refusing to believe it.
Last year, Fournette was out of shape during the Spring.
quote:
Leonard Fournette responded to LSU coach Les Miles determination that his star tailback needs to lose 10 pounds in a Twitter post Friday.
"I lost that weight for you big man," was Fournette's response.
In a radio interview Thursday, Miles said Fournette "was 235 to 233 (pounds) or so during spring; we want him right around 225 so his strength and speed are maximized. He's an elite guy and he wants to be an elite body as he goes into fall. Certainly this summer will provide him with that opportunity."

Not once in his time at LSU was he listed under 230.

You do realize that rarely are the rosters accurate.

I'm fully aware. There's a pretty good chance Fournette was heavier than the reported numbers.

Can you point out what you are trying to say here?
Are you saying Miles didn't actually think Fournette was a little overweight last spring?
Or, are you saying Fournette wasn't "overweight" last spring at 233-235...and that he was probably heavier?
I don't want to put words in your mouth. Please clarify.

Lol. So not heading into his dream.
I find it glorious that youre making an assumption and acting like its true yet have a problem with my assumption.
But please go on about how 5 lbs is not a good sign like you know what youre talking about. LF was the fastest guy on the field at 235lbd.

LF played at 235 last year. Your statement that 240 isnt a good sign is an assumption.

I'm trying to say that him weighing in at 240 pounds on March 1st does not mean he's overweight and is not the end of the world.
It's not really that difficult of a concept, to be honest.
Posted on 3/1/17 at 3:33 pm to RB10
LF7 4.55 would be good at this point.

I love how you think saying," holy shite" means i took it personal.
Im sorry that you had no clue that LF played at 235.
Also, are you under the assumption that i didnt know the difference between getting personal and taking it personal? Because if i didnt know the difference i wouldnt have said ," thats getting personal". I wouldve said ," thats taking it personal". Reading comprehension is hard for some posters.
When someone takes something personal, they usually respond by getting personal.
By all means continue to tell us how a player that was great and a generational talent at 235 is diminished and its bad sign that he is at 240. If LF didnt believe he was in good shape he wouldnt be at the combine.

Holy shite.
This year against, ole miss and on an ankle thats not 100%, he reached a mph that no nfl player reached this year.
If lf runs a 4.55 its a horrible thing. He has legit track speed.
